Parents' Weekend Evening Event - Saturday Evening Sock Hop
The student council folks had discussed events for Parents' Weekend and decided upon a sock hop at the community center.
So, the whole place was nowkitschily appropriately decorated and very glittery, the refreshments were set out, and the music was playing.
There was also a large box of socks at the doorway, for those who felt their socks were too threadbare or too boring, who didn't have any socks, or who came from a world where socks didn't exist. None of the socks matched. Some seemed to be made of extremely odd materials. Some had capes and/or toes (not always five). Most were interesting color combinations. Nearly all had googly eyes that seemed to actually be looking around at things.
Hopefully they were at least good dancers?

Which is why he needed to be on the command track at Starfleet. See?
Re: Mingle!
She watched him for a second. "So... why are you here?"

Sure, breaking into facilities that belonged to the Avengers might not have been everyone's idea of a heroic act, but Karolina still held Jim in pretty high regard.

As long as he had the people to do it for.

"The right thing to do at the time."
Crime for crime's sake was a different matter entirely.
