Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.
Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.
[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies.]

Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
So no, definitely not lurking. But he was back on the island for another weekend power-pack recharge, and he'd become aware that new students were arriving today, and while he wasn't a teacher at the moment, there was always that chance that he'd be back again to teach... possibly in the fall. It really depended on how long the war for Glacia's freedom from Hobart dragged on.
So, while none of these students were going to be his students any time soon, he figured he ought to at least make the cursory effort to have a quick glance, make sure the island didn't end up with any more Magnetos or Dooms, and keep an eye out for those students that he considered his students whether he was actually teaching through the summer or not.
He was going to do that while clutching to a bottle of water like a lifeline, because it was entirely too hot for what he was wearing, yes. He'd grown up in London and had spent the last few months in a Territory named Glacia. The only thing keeping him from wilting right then was several years of experience with being on fire. Sort of.
Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
"Bossman! How goes the war thing?"
Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
Because nothing in Jonothon's life was ever easy.

Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
Electricity, Jonothon missed you so bloody much.
"It'll probably take the better part of tomorrow for me to finish up here, though. I intend to accomplish very little between now and when I head back there, for the sake of my own sanity."
See, now he was catching on.

The attack on the hunting party, the battle, the hotel fire... Jono was fed up with being reactive in this war, waiting to be attacked and then dealing with it.
Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
Look, she might've had a couple uncles who were dumb enough to fall for that. (Once.)

A beat.
"Proper football."
Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
Maybe she'd been reading too much Cracked?
Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
It was probably apparent that Jono was not pleased with Hobart.
Disturbing blue giant his disturbing blue arse. Ugh.

Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
"Actually, there might be. If I wanted to make somebody's life miserable in a way that doesn't involve actual, life-threatening weaponry..." He tilted his head a little, considering. "Say, a present of sorts to leave behind for someone you dislike with a vengeance to come across later... what would you suggest?"
Something annoying, but non-lethal. Something that would boost the morale of his own troops, more than actually giving them any sort of upper-hand.

Re: Lurk! [Summer 2013 - II]
"I wouldn't be crazy enough to take my soldiers on a tour through the estate in Sidra just to smear shite on his walls," he noted, thoughtfully. "But the man travels from time to time, I'm sure... I might have to keep that in mind."
He did remember how attached Karla was to that pony, at least. He'd been involved in that D&D game, at least until his ugly side started to show and he had to back off.
