Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.
Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.
[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies.]

Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
So, things weren't great.
"Where's she living now? Angelo's?"
Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
Her biological parents were hanging out without her. That one stung a bit.
Bay roused herself to blink at Gert. "Also, a, happy birthday, I'll paint you a thing ASAP. B -- run the whole Karolina thing by me again?"
Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
She made a dramatic gesture with her hands to indicate that she found this whole situation ridiculous.
"Sorry about Regina," she added a little more sympathetically. "That's pretty high-level crappy parenting."
But, well. Regina.
Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
Not that she'd actually ever said more than hi to Karolina, but -- details.
Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
But then, there was a pretty deeply repressed part of Gert that wished she could have even one non-evil, living parent, and Bay had four, even if they all sucked in their own ways.
"And -- crap. You're right, I think she was kind of keeping it on the DL." Not that Gert agreed with that call, necessarily, but it was Karolina's choice. Anyway, she didn't think she had to worry about Bay spreading it all around campus or anything. "Well, yeah. Planet's called Majesdane. She didn't even know until pretty recently, so it's kind of-- switched-at-birth-y."

Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
A parental tactic that, if you asked Gert, was about ninety kinds of squicky.

Re: Mingle, Mingle, Mingle [Summer 2013 - II]
She exhaled, slowly. "So we're both having an awesome few days, it sounds like."
