The Library is Open (02/16)

Rory wandered in after ACJ and curled up behind the desk.

The library is here. There are books. There are even pretty girls to help you find them.

[ooc: ~~And while Rory is here except for 4th and 7th periods, her player will be AFK until 1:30 or so EST~~. I'm here now!]

"I stopped by and saw John," Rory said, stretching a little. "Poor guy."

"Xander told me Aeryn was leaving," Angela said. "I feel really bad for them. I'm just not sure what to say to him, you know? It's not like I was close to Aeryn."

Rory nodded. "I wasn't that close with her, either, but I - " She faltered a little. "I guess I kind of understand how John's feeling," she said, glancing over at Angela. "Or at least, I will by the end of the year."

Angela winced and reached out to touch Rory's arm. "You have eight weeks, right? And who knows. Maybe the Jedis will decide he needs to go to college here."

"Maybe," Rory said, shrugging and waving a hand. "We talked about it last night and it's fine. It's too early to worry about that. Anyway. Want to hear about Valentine's Day?"

She glanced around, and pulled out a piece of paper.

Actually, want to read about it? I don't think shrubs can read.

"I was hoping," Angela said, then grabbed for the pen.

If you're sure about the shrub? We've seen weirder things.

Rory shrugged.

I think he works mainly with audio.

Anyway. So, V-Day. Anakin brought me chocolates and this turnip thingy. It was very sweet, since it was kind of obvious he had no clue what he was doing but he was trying, you know?

AWWWWWW! Angela wrote, and yes, she did write that many W's. Then, almost as an afterthought, TURNIP? Go on.

YES TURNIP, Rory wrote, giggling. And yeah, all-caps. It was weird. And so, I burned him a CD, since I didn't know what else to do for him, and he asked me to dance. And you know how he does the glitter-floaty thing? He did that, so it was like there were stars. SO. CUTE.

Angela sighed happily. Which song? she scrawled. And boys who dance are awesome.

"Someone to Watch Over Me." Which is kind of dorky, but whatever. It was cute. Oh, and we ordered sushi, and talked for a really long time, and had champagne. It was fun. Oh, and there were candles.

Sounds insanely romantic.

It was. Um. And Zero wasn't wrong.

Angela raised an eyebrow and hesitated before writing her answer. I kind of figured. You would have denied it a lot harder if she was wrong.

But. Are you happy about it?

Rory blushed. Yes. It was nice. No TMI, don't worry. But it was different and nice and...yes.

So what did you and Marty end up doing?

~~About the same thing you did~~, she wrote, then crossed it out. No TMI, right?

Um, we had dinner in my room. There was champagne. It was very nice.

Do you think you'll be able to dance w/A. at the thing Fri?

Rory frowned.

Don't know. We danced at the last one, in a corner. Maybe the lighting'll be bad again. Or even if it's not, it's just dancing, right? Nothing incriminating. And we already held hands in Angel and John's room after Study Group, and then we kissed in my room after Spin the Bottle. And people know we're close friends, if they don't suspect more, anyway.

Angela nodded. You can borrow Marty for a dance to throw people off, if you want. But you're right, probably nobody will even notice. And if they do ... so what?

Exactly. I mean, nothing wrong with dancing with a friend. I may dance with many, many friends! (And thanks for offering Marty.)

No problem, assuming he's okay with it. Can I borrow Anakin, too? It'll be a dancing orgy! Only not.

Of course you can! And then we'll dance near each other and everyone will be staring doofily at the wrong person, and it'll be funny.

Sounds great! Very John Hughes of us, or something.
