Rory wandered in after ACJ and curled up behind the desk.

The library is here. There are books. There are even pretty girls to help you find them.

[ooc: And while Rory is here except for 4th and 7th periods, her player will be AFK until 1:30 or so EST. I'm here now!]

Isabel wandered into the library after Speech class, not in the mood to go to the gym today.

"Pretty good," she smiled. "How have you been? Do anything fun for Valentine's day?"

"Um, not really. Just had a quiet evening in my room," Rory said, smiling a little doofily. "What about you?"

"I hung out with the single people in your common room. There was food, and semi-bad movies. It was fun." Isabel might grin at the doofy smile and wonder what Rory wasn't saying, but she knew all about secrets and certainly wasn't going to push.

"Of course now though?" She shooker her head, "I really need fluffy stuff. Can you recommend any trashy romances?"

"Trashy romances?" Rory grinned. "There's The Jade Flower, and The Amethyst Flower. Zero loves them. They're the most purple-prosed books I've ever read."

She pulled out a card from the catalog. "There are pirates and ninjas. And there over there," she said, pointing and handing the card over.

"Pirates and ninjas? Oh my..." Isabel laughed and took the card. "That sounds like what I was looking for. Is there more then just historical stuff over there though? Beause I already referenced something Nora Robertsish in another post I might have to pick out a few more for the weekend."

"Yup, same place," Rory nodded. "That entire section is our trashy romance section. Have at 'em."

A few minutes later, Isabel returned to the desk with both The Jade Flower and The Amethyst Flower in hand. She'd also picked up the first book of the new Dora Robards trilogy for something a little more up to date.

"I think I'm set now. What about you? Any exciting plans for the weekend?"

"Nothing so far," Rory said, scanning the books. "I might go for a drive on the mainland or something, since I have my car sitting around. What about you?"

"This is it," she said, gesturing at the books. "I do have some homework to do, and I will have to stop by the dance for a bit. But overall? I'm planning on a quiet weekend."

"You have your car here? I'm jealous. My brother and I shared a jeep. I loved to take it out for rides in the desert."

"I have a Prius that I got for my birthday. Barely driven it," Rory said sadly. "I promised a friend I'd teach him to drive, so maybe we'll do that soon. And we'll hope my patience lasts."

"It's an automatic right?" Isabel asked. "Then you'll be fine. Our jeep was standard shift, it made things really interesting when my dad tried to teach me."
