Advanced Journalism (Wednesday, February 15, 3rd period)

"Your assignment this week," Rita said, her head in her hands, her hair frizzier than usual, and her general appearance somewhat disheveled, "is an easy one. In celebration of bloody stupid goddamn Valentine's Day, I want you to write a fifty word article on your favorite campus couple. How did they meet? Where? When? Why are they so good together - or rather, what caught your attention?"

She looked up blearily. "Questions?"

Rory started to take a few notes, thinking she might write on Marty and Angela or possibly Cally and Anders, and ended up doodling and staring out into space happily.

John stares at the assignment, taps his pencil against the desk and then finally decides what to do.

He carefully folds his piece of paper into a paper airplane and flies it toward Professor Skeeter's desk. "My dog ate my assignment," he says and shrugs.

"You don't have to make us laugh every class." Chloe smirked at John, getting a little quieter for Rita's sake. "Give Rory and I a chance to be the entertainment once in a while, or Aeryn might hunt us down for letting you get in trouble so much."
