Shop Class: [2/15]
As the student enter the shop, they'll see that it looks like a normal shop classroom with various materials for building having been pulled out from the supply closet.
"All right guys, I know this is a day late and a dollar short but I want you to build something the signifies yesterday's holiday. Or... if you are against valentine's day in general? Something that is symbolizes "Anti-Valentines" day."

Assignment: [2/15]
Re: Assignment: [2/15]
Not seeing any anvils around, she spent the rest of the class constructing a trebuchet out of metal pipes, wood, eye hooks and cable. She then took a cinder block and placed it in the correct position, then did some quick calculations and placed the trebuchet in relation to the small wood figure.
When she released the catch on the cable, the trebuchet flung the cinder block through the air. The block landed directly on the wooden figure, breaking it into thousands of splinters, two pipe cleaners, and some rolled up duct tape.
"Thanks, Mac. I feel better now."

She managed to use all the tools on her new toy. Well, except for the toothbrush. That would be gross.

She then takes a few coat hangers, and fashions a heart shape out of them, using a rusty screen to fill in the open space in the middle, and taking red scraps of paper and plastic to weave in so that the heart is red. Affixing it to the ball, she then finds a long poll, sharpens it into a lance, and stabs it right through the heart.
"Bah," she says at her assignment.

girlspeople who appear to despise this strange holiday that he was previously unexposed to, goes off into the corner to complete his assignment. He contructs a nice little letterbox to hold any and all Valentines, then inscribes dorky little sayings all over the box, like, "Expert in Loveology" and "Hooray for Chocolate" and "Kissing Should Be Mandatory."After he finishes with that, he pulls out an old paper shredder from the spare parts in the room and makes it attachable or detachable to the inside of the letterbox, depending on your Valentine's Day tastes.

Finally, deciding to ignore everything from this morning, John finds a Twinkie, sticks it on a clean rod and pushes the rod into a flat, piece of wood.
"Valentine's Day makes Twinkies that much sweeter," he says absently.

just like his player) at the available materials, wondering just which one he was supposed to do. Yesterday hadn't exactly been awful; decent night with friends in theBig Purple Losers' Loungecommon room. But it hadn't exactly been booyah great, either, due to more factors than he cared to think abouteverin an uncaffeinated condition."Parker's got it right," he said out loud, staring speculatively at a stack of wood. "Way too much pressure for it all to mean something. Whole day's spring-loaded to explode if you poke it wrong."
Thoughtfully, or at least as thoughtful as he could manage at this hour, he reached for some light wood strips. He also grabbed a heavier board for the backing, some small rectangular ceramic floor tiles, and one larger tile piece that had cracked irregularly in half.
A bit of sawing, sanding, planing, glueing and Sharpie-ing later, he was left with this:

She affixes a large sign to the front. It reads: "Support the campaign for National Singles Awareness Day. Single people should get a holiday too."
