Sociology - Sex Cultures: 6th Period

Grissom's students find a note on the Sociology lab door that they should meet in Danger Shop.

When they arrive, they find that a performance area has been set up for them, complete with room for an audience.

"Welcome, everyone! I'm glad you made it. I know that you have all been working hard on your presentations, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to share them with your fellow students. We'll begin in a few minutes, and I'll let the audience in. Happy Valentine's Day!"

Grissom introduces Cally and Pip, presenting an Indian Wedding.

Alanna ~~and maybe DEATH~~ presents a traditional white wedding.

Bel and Allie present a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony.

Phoebe, Paige, and Shep present a Renaissance themed wedding.

Izzie and Anders present a Polish wedding ~~with extra salt~~.

Sawyer and Han present a Viking wedding.

Grissom stands on the stage, and welcomes everyone to the Danger Shop.

"Thank you all for coming. Please, take a seat, and we'll begin ~~right above, see there?~~ our presentations today. And stay with us after the conclusion of our class period for refreshments."

Various snack foods in bowls. Various punch-esque substances in Dixie cups. And snickerdoodles. Obviously.

Sara, complete with wriggling puppy, finds a seat near the front.

Han is ready for this. He's made several trips from the common room and has it all set up.

A fir garland hung with small mirrors, artifical apples and walnuts and bags of chocolate coins drapes around the edge of the room. An altar at the front holds a horn full of golden liquid. He pours more out of a jug into a wooden bowl with elaborate knotwork around the edge. A hammer, a bundle of fir branches, a stuffed cow and a plastic knife are on the altar.

Victor head the rumor about the presentation, and decided to stop in and watch for a little bit.

"We're performing in front of... oh FRAK." Cally bites down on her lower lip. "I was so not expecting an audience."

"There's an audience?" To say Anders is going bug-eyed would be the grossest of gross understatements. Which is fitting, in Grissom's class, isn't it?

Seriously. It really would, literally, be gross if his eyes popped out any more.

Phoebe is so not thrilled by this. She's still in her leather Celtic Amazon costume from when she took over her Arthurian Traditions class.

Phoebe looks around for Paige and Shep. Maybe Paige can make the leather skirt look longer for this?

Paige raises a eyebrow at Phoebe, "well it wasn't quite what was in my head, but I expect Shep'll like it."

The shrub in the back of the room was looking particularly gleeful.

If shrubs could have any kind of expression.

Which they can't.

So you didn't really see anything.

Even the dog is laughing at the students.

Sara is just chuckling quietly and taking notes.

"I forgot abut this," she says honestly. "I was demonstrating the power of women in Celtic times by staging a coup in Arthurian Traditions. Any way yu can make the skirt appear longer?"

Pippi is here in support of her namesake.

She always crys at weddings.

*snif*

Bel and Allie's presentation.

Cally sets down the little wood and construction paper fire and puts on the veil she has to wear. She's nervous, and more than a little embarassed.

...because her presentation is going to suck liek whoa.

"erm, well I could try, or you could just change into this (http://www.thedarkangel.co.uk/catalogue2.php?p=177)" she says pulling a dress out of her large bag beside her.
