Detention, Depths of the Castle, Friday
So, one of the important things to realize about detention was that the monotony of everyone's daily lives was part of the punishment. That meant that even though someone had died yesterday, the day's schedule didn't change a bit.
After all, most of your little lives just weren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
She already knew those things were true. They couldn't show her anything else that would hurt.
She stroked the shirt-lump in her lap and crooned at it, soft lullabies from when she was a little girl. Her mother had sung to her every night, back before the car accident. It was safe to think of her mother. She was dead, too.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
"Rinoa?" she whispered softly, watching her friend hum and pet a piece of dirty fabric. "Rinoa, I was hoping to talk to you?"
Apologize, beg forgiveness, grovel...you know. Stuff like that.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
Maybe she hadn't left and Rinoa had just been Away. She was sorry. She'd try not to do that.
"Woof," said the shirt-lump.
"I got a new puppy," Rinoa explained.

Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
"I know that," she said, as if she thought Karla was a simpleton. Of course it was a shirt. "My real puppy's dead."
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
That was what Karla wanted to say. Desperately, achingly wanted to say. But she couldn't say that aloud, not and keep her cover. And when she opened her mind to tell Rinoa psychically, she was rebuffed by a whirlwind of grief and anguish and madness
unless that's too moddy and then I will erase."Maybe...maybe you can still see her again?"
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
"I don't need to," Rinoa said. "I have this dog now. She's not real so she can't die."
Rinoa was only pretending that the shirt loved her. But that was what she had done with Squall, too.
(NOT MODDY AT ALL ♥)
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
That was the closest she could come to delivering her message.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/27]
Sooner or later, someone would take this puppy, too. At least this one wouldn't die. She would hold on as long as she could.
