Detention, Depths of the Castle, Thursday
Another beautiful day had begun in Fandom, not that anyone in detention would have noticed. The lack of sunlight, the pleasant sound of Umbridge's voice, and the slightly stale smell of breakfast were all important aspects to making every day in detention routine! Surely everyone knew that surprises were no fun.
Look, the week was half over already and no one had been taken out and killed so far. That had to count for something, right?

Re: Visiting Hours [07/26] - Post Sookie Killage!
//You... you worthless bloody madwoman,// he snarled, infusing every last ounce of his psionic voice with rage so cold that it could nearly burn, were it not for the dampeners keeping him from causing Raven harm. //You sick, demented monster.//
Just a few days ago, he was sitting on a beach in Sookie's head, singing for her, each of them carrying the other away from this.
//Are you happy now? Doing your puppeteer's dirty work, coming down here each and every day and trying to take us apart, piece by piece? You're pathetic, Raven! Play and play and play and damn the consequences! Who will it be next? We are not your goddamn toys!//
He wasn't crying. He wasn't capable of crying. But so help him, if he could lash out right then, he'd pay Raven back for this in a wave of fire and a psionic torrent of unfiltered agony.

Overwhelmed, she tried to retreat into herself, and the demon began to surge forth. "Get away from me!" she snarled.

"Go ahead!" she said. "Do it! You cannot destroy me! No one can. I feed on your hate and your rage and it just makes me stronger. I will come back and devour you as I did her."

Jonothon didn't give an inch, didn't so much as flinch at the change in her expression, in her demeanor.
//At least I'll go with the satisfaction of knowing that you're damned, Raven. Damned to forever live in the shadows of nightmares that you have no hope of ever living up to.//
Re: Visiting Hours [07/26] - Post Sookie Killage!
No she didn't, not now, with her mind torn asunder like this. She wanted to beg forgiveness, but it wasn't deserved, and it wouldn't be forthcoming from anyone. It was easier to retreat than face the horror of what she'd become, of everything she'd been forced to do. Cowardly. Pathetic. She'd never been strong like the rest.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/26] - Post Sookie Killage!
Jonothon wasn't convinced. But there was no pity, now. Just that overwhelming feeling of contempt for something that was so much smaller than himself.
//You're a coward. It's easy to pick on people who can't fight back, any one of us could do that. A child could do that. Without the power dampeners up, you would be nothing, Trigon's daughter, Umbridge's pet. I don't think you like it at all. I think if you didn't have to work so hard to prove that you're not a pathetic nothing, Sookie would still be alive right now.//
Re: Visiting Hours [07/26] - Post Sookie Killage!
She wasn't nothing. She wasn't a coward. She...wasn't sure what she was. It just wasn't right. She should be proud. She wanted to be proud. But right now she was anything but.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/26] - Post Sookie Killage!
Jonothon still didn't back down. He simply raised a hand, and pointed toward the door.
//There's the way out. Only one of us can use it. You've caused enough grief here today, Raven. You've taken one life too many. Go.//
