Detention, Depths of the Castle, Monday

Morning had broken in Fandom, and another day in detention was about to begin, the same as every other day.

For the moment, things were as quiet as they probably ever got, while everyone was still resting on their cots, women on one side of the magical black cloth barrier, men on the other. Soon, those who had managed to sleep would be woken by the ever-cheerful voice of Dolores Umbridge coming from the loudspeakers, ordering them to rise. The barrier would disappear, and whatever bland, tasteless substance they were calling breakfast today would appear instead. After that, those in detention were free to do whatever they wanted ... if they could find anything to do that didn't break one of the island's rules, or that could be done while trapped away from everyone else.

But really, the days of those in detention weren't that slow. Soon enough, visiting hours would start, and there wouldn't be nearly as much boredom then.

[OCD is up, have at it!]

"Oh, I like you're style in that," Cassidy nodded, pushing her hair back out of her eyes. "Make him suffer for as long as possible before you finally end his pitiful life." Her smile was too bright for this conversation, really. "Any of his blood that managed to escape would long remember the lesson you taught your enemies."

Loki nodded seriously. "And you, Cassidy?"

"That Raven girl," Cassidy said immediately. "She's tainted and wrong. She gets in people's minds and hurts them and has way too much fun with it. I would stab her in the heart with a dagger if I thought she had a heart. Instead, I think I would break her from her power and then make sure that she knew what was happening." She tilted her head. "I might even let everyone she's harmed in here to stab her once before I kill her."

Loki smiled and held out a hand for a high five. "I believe we shall make quite the fighter out of you yet."

Cassidy grinned back at him and gave him a high five in return. "If anyone can do it, I am assured that you can, Loki." She tilted her head. "Your turn again."

Cassidy liked this game.

Loki hummed, thinking about their guests. "Perhaps the telepath who thinks herself more clever than she truly is? There are so many to pick from!"

"Drawn out pain or a quick kill?"

It was a valid question!

"Always painful," Loki replied. "There will never be mercy for those who think they can imprison a god. I will summon Bor's Valkyrie to feast upon their flesh as they try to escape. It will be splendid."

"I need you to explain to me what a god is again, please?"

Sometimes, Cassidy had a hard time keeping information in her mind because of everything that happened to her and some of the tortures, but one thing she did know was that Loki was her friend and he was powerful.

She hadn't forgotten what he told her a god was, she just really enjoyed hearing him talk about it and what he would do to the people that imprisoned him.

"Long and drawn out. Always a good choice."

She did wonder what a Bor was...

"A god is a being that remembers when mankind still feared the wolves outside their little campfires."

That made Cassidy smile.

"They should always fear the wolves because the wolves are stronger than they are."

Cassidy was quite fond of wolves. She didn't know any, but she liked them.

"Well then, you shall be one once we are free."

"Wolf or a god?"

Either was good for her in her mind. Wolves could bite people who tried to hurt them or the people they liked. She imagined that being a god would be like that, too.

"Wolf. You would need fangs and claws, though." A beat. "Did you know, the world will end with a wolf devouring the moon?"

"I think I would like to be a wolf," she nodded. "They wouldn't be able to get near me if I had those."
