Kicking Ass, Teamwork Style (Wednesday, Period 2, Week 2)

Messages had been sent out to all the students to wear comfortable clothes for activity today, and by the way, that should be the dress standard for the rest of the session because duh. (Okay, the message hadn't actually said 'because duh.' Not in the final draft.)

When they arrived today, they'd find the Danger Shop set up as a military obstacle course. Hey, it was the same one Kennedy made the junior Slayers run whenever she got to supervise a training session, okay?

...no sign of Kennedy, though. Pinned to the low wall that made up the first obstacle on the course was a hastily scrawled note:

Sorry. Unexpected demon-related crisis at home. Your assignment: GET EVERYONE ALL THE WAY THROUGH THIS. Remember it's not a competition. Someone needs help with part of it, you help them. Teamwork, remember?

- Kennedy

Well then.

And after all of that, even Evan could admit that he was kind of panting a little by the time he ran up the incline, but the ledges were pretty easy to get down, so long as you weren't afraid of heights or anything.

He kind of slid his way down each ledge, even if the drops were pretty much as far as he was tall, and then hung out at the finish line, watching to be sure nobody was going to hesitate at the top for some reason.

This would have been sooo much easier and more fun as a coyote. Mercy did it, though, and waited at the bottom of each jump to help anyone who needed a hand.
