Kicking Ass, Teamwork Style (Wednesday, Period 2, Week 2)

Messages had been sent out to all the students to wear comfortable clothes for activity today, and by the way, that should be the dress standard for the rest of the session because duh. (Okay, the message hadn't actually said 'because duh.' Not in the final draft.)

When they arrived today, they'd find the Danger Shop set up as a military obstacle course. Hey, it was the same one Kennedy made the junior Slayers run whenever she got to supervise a training session, okay?

...no sign of Kennedy, though. Pinned to the low wall that made up the first obstacle on the course was a hastily scrawled note:

Sorry. Unexpected demon-related crisis at home. Your assignment: GET EVERYONE ALL THE WAY THROUGH THIS. Remember it's not a competition. Someone needs help with part of it, you help them. Teamwork, remember?

This one actually brought to mind the local playground that Evan sometimes hung out around back in Kansas. Like monkey bars, but with far better footholds! He scrambled up to the top, and then sat there for a bit to see if anyone else needed a hand before turning himself around and backing his way down the other side.
