This was, quite possibly even more entertaining than Dojima ever thought teaching was going to be.

"Ohaiyo!" she sang as the students arrived. "Today we're going to give you some practical exercises in how dating - or wooing - can go very very wrong, Fandom-style."

Romeo shot her a swift, amused smile. "For example," he said, "the gremlins. I've heard tell of brilliant nights, burned to ashes because something with fangs decided to make a plaything of half of a pair -- or of both halves."

"Fandom Lesson Number One," Dojima put in impishly. "Video of the aftermath of a gremlin encounter is worth a LOT on the open market."

"However, taking video of your would-be-beloved in such a state is a good way to guarantee there will be no second date."

"Though after a fourth or fifth date, perhaps, a little blackmail may be overlooked in a loving relationship," Romeo put on. "But to go to the larger point -- the amount of time people here spend out of their mind or not in the right body can strain any relationship."

"Even if that relationship is just one of friendship - But! - friendship is not what you're in this class for. So! We've come up with a few scenarios for you to work with," she supplied cheerfully. "First dates gone so, so, so very wrong. Because around here? It's bound to happen."

"First you cry, then you laugh, then you move on," Romeo said solemnly. "And today … today is for practice. Your pairs are Lucrezia and Frank; Rapunzel and Sholeh; Thomasina and Atton; and George and Shira. And, as we've an odd number, Stacey, Hanna and Sparkle will all work together."

Lucrezia is ready to go to homecoming, but when she goes to meet Frank, she realizes he's been bitten by a gremlin and thinks he's a mermaid princess.

Lucrezia, for her part, what getting herself into proper character; fixing her hair, fluffing her skirts, and preparing to go and knock on Frank's imaginary door.

"It's a play," she murmured under her breath. She was, perhaps, enjoying her little sibling's distress. "You are to mime the effects of hallucination, my love. Has no one told you of gremlins?"

Pair #2 - Rapunzel & Sholeh Zeela a Zahar

They're waking up after their first sleepover -- but it's one of those weekends, and Rapunzel is temporarily five years old.

Sholeh wasn't entirely certain why sleeping over would be considered a date. ::How is napping supposed to be a 'getting to know you' activity?:: she asked her sisters.

Zeela chortled, while Zhahar tried to answer with diplomacy. *Ahh, I think they mean when you wake up after your first time...*

=Rubbing skins!= Zeela supplied.

::Are you sure?!:: Sholeh asked, mouth falling open.

*Perhaps you should double check,* Zhahar suggested, at the same time Zeela replied, =Yup!=

Anyone looking at Sholeh's face could watch as it went through a range of expressions: confusion, shock, and consternation, followed by her hand shooting into the air.

[Driving to CT to pick up Mom for movies, but will pick up pings in the evening.]

Yay! Rapunzel really liked sleepovers! You got to stay up and talk and do each others' hair and all sorts of fun stuff!

Which meant she was probably the absolute wrong person for Sholeh to ask about any sort of clarification on the subject.

She was just smiling happily. That faltered slightly, though, because... how did she act five? She didn't spend a lot of time with five year olds, after all...

Thomasina wants to cancel the date to go fight the flying piranhas that are attacking the island. Atton wants to stay in and snuggle.

Threesome - Hanna Marin, Sparkle, & Stacey McGill

"So, we're all set to... you know, go and do whatever people do on date-things. Dinner, movie? What do people do for dates on this rock, anyhow?"

Lucrezia approached the young man hesitantly, then dropped a quite elegant bow.

"Might I be so bold as to ask you a question, my lord?" she asked.

He had not said he was nobility; better to assume so and be corrected than to mistakenly insult those who were.
