Were you all enjoying your graduation, children? Ingvar certainly hoped you were. It was so much fun, after all! Though... it could be a little more fun, couldn't it? It felt as if something was missing somehow. Something to really make it... fun.

Ingvar knew what it was.

And so, while the graduates were still on and around the stage, the earth began to rumble. Large black clouds of smoke pushed out of Ingvar's volcano and into the air, obscuring the sky and the moon. Soon, the air was covered in a thick black blanket of darkness.

The tune of the rumbling shifted.

Around the stage, clear protective walls sprung up. This was not Fandom's first tango on graduation day, thank you. She knew how to take care of what was hers.

Unfortunately, Ingvar knew its mother well. Moments later, it began to rain: a thick downpour of familiar plastic poppets in varying levels of creepiness, but also nice, brown, fluffy ...red-eyed, sharp-clawed teddy bears. And leading the charge, teeth-first--

"DROP BEARS!"

"I do not feel any more grown up," Raven said. "Just still anxious about the future."

She remembered that graduation as well. Rubbing drop bear bellies had been much better.

"You've got some down-time. Almost four months' worth," Dinah felt like she had to say. "And back-up plans, if you don't think of anything more exciting. You'll be okay." She squeezed her shoulder. "And! I brought your new New Gotham ID's -- Barbara put a rush on it, but she said she can do all the back-up work later, so no one will ever guess you didn't grow up in my world."

"Oh, thank you!" Raven said happily. That was one obstacle conquered at least. "I suspect that will make things like registering for college much easier."

"Much. And if Gotham U let me in, they'll let you in," Dinah teased. Then her expression sobered. "She also found out some information on that other thing you asked me about... although I don't know, maybe you want to be private somewhere before we talk about that." Also, it wasn't exactly good news.

Raven did glance around them, but when she returned her eyes to Dinah she shook her head. "It is all right," she said. "It is nothing I am trying to hide." She'd come out of the demon closet, after all.

"Okay. Well." How to start? Rip off the band-aid, probably. "All of the women whose names you gave me? Are deceased in my world. At about the same time."

Which was probably far too big of a coincidence. And even if Dinah's world was not the same as her own, there were parallels in hers.

"Were they murdered?" Raven asked softly, already suspecting the answer.

"Yes," Dinah said, reluctant to say as much, but not saying anything would be worse. "By their sons. All about the same age. With the same father. They were part of some blood cult, and... Anyway. The cult leader is in jail now, but his sons are still at large." She was quieter, studying Raven. "It doesn't have to be the same."

Raven sighed. "I had hoped there was good in my brothers, that they were more like me, but if they have taken that step, then they are turning their backs on what humanity they might have once had."

She could easily imagine Trigon ordering her to kill Arella to prove her human side had no power.

"If they have," Dinah pointed out. She grimaced. "You don't think they could come back from something like that, do you." Not really a question.

"I do not know," Raven said. She thought of Anakin and what he had done and come back from, but he hadn't killed his own mother.

"I want to believe they can be saved, but I cannot foolishly put too much faith in that," she said.

Dinah squeezed her hand again. "I'll help, if you find them and need it. You know that."

"I know," Raven said, finding a smile. "And I am very grateful for it. I just hope it never comes to something where I require the aid of my friends."

Ha. Fat chance.

"We'll worry about it tomorrow," Dinah said. "Tonight, we party!"

"It is definitely cause for celebration tonight," Raven agreed. "Will you be staying the weekend?"

"Should be, yeah." Dinah grinned, then looked a little rueful. "Although I did bring my Philosophy text with me to study a bit."

"No studying," Raven said, shaking a finger at Dinah. "As you said, this is to be a party."
