The Elements of Friendship, Thursday, Period 3

"Hi, everypony!" Pinkie said without preamble when the students had arrived, into what seemed to be the inside of a giant library carved directly out of a tree. "So I noticed a lot of you guys have loads and loads of extra energy, this week!" Sure, Pinkie, if that's what you want to call it. "So I figured it was time to do something extra-special fun!"

She whipped out her party cannon, seemingly from nowhere, and aimed it at the sky above the students heads. "PERIOD COSTUME PILLOW FIGHT PARTY!" she cried, and slammed her hoof down on the back end of the cannon, firing . . . period costumes and pillows at them.

"Have fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!"

[ooc: OCD is up. *whacks you all with a pillow. while wearing pince-nez.*]

Period Costume Pillow Fight [2/16]

Dress up in the moddable period costumes -- from various Earth standard historical periods -- and hit each other with variously sized moddable pillows.

Really, what's not fun about any of that?

Jim kind of blinked at the costumes, and then shrugged and pulled on something that looked sort of suspiciously like the naval costumes from his own world.

Okay, so Earth did have points in its history where its fashions actually made sense. That was good to know.

"Aha!" Rapunzel declared, leaping toward Jim and brandishing a pillow.

It probably would have been a lot more graceful (and possibly more threatening) if she hadn't been wearing a massive hoop-skirted dress which totally half-tripped her up during that leap.

"Aha- hey!" For what it was worth, Jim dropped his pillow, stepping forward with his arms out to catch Rapunzel when he noticed that near-trip. "Careful!"

He was wide open for a good pillow-whomping, but so help him, he was going to be a gentleman. Kinda.

That would be Kenzi in a pirate wench's outfit, grinning. "Pay attention, Lex!"

Oh! Neat new clothes! Rapunzel looked over her options before choosing, and then somehow wriggling into, a massive hoop-skirted dress. Look! It totally flounced!

Hank bounced up to Rapunzel excitedly in his own massive hoop-skirted dress. "Hey, look, twinsies!!!" he exclaimed.

Then he choked up and started blushing, because she was female and pretty.

Hank somehow ended up in a dress with lots of ruffles and lace and an enormous hoop skirt. There was a matching wide-brimmed hat with a huge bow on it.

And the strange thing? He made it look good.

Kenzi was crashing the class with instructor permission and man, was she glad she did.

Richie had gone for something vaguely piratey. The open white shirt just seemed like the right choice. The hat didn't hurt, either.

Now he was eying his classmates carefully because they were hot looking for someone to smack with a pillow.

Anna was sort of...already in a period costume, what with her dress being from 1958 and all. It was basic enough it still passed muster with most people, though, so...

She sighed and picked up a floral bonnet and tied it onto her head.

Cassidy would not appreciate being hit with a pillow right now. She was having a hard enough time keeping herself focused and not watching all of the boys.

Every week, I sit down to write this class with the My Little Pony Wiki's episode list open. Usually, this is followed by inspiration from one of said episodes to turn into at least the very basic concept for the class.

This week, this was followed by my brain going "PERIOD COSTUME PILLOW FIGHT".

I may be getting ever more Pinkie-ish.
