Basic Strategy, Monday, Period 4

"Hello again," Tyrion said easily. "If you were a woman this weekend, and you normally aren't, I hope you found something to enjoy about the experience. If you're always a woman, I hope you didn't hurt yourselves too badly laughing at those of us with new centers of gravity. And with that, I'm moving into an easy assignment -- for me, not for you."

"I just have to read the names on this piece of paper, then you're to take care of the rest of it. I drew names at random to pair you up. Each pair is to spend some time together over the course of the week discussing something each of you might teach the other, and perhaps beginning some instruction in it. I don't especially care what the skill is, but please, nothing illegal, particularly immoral, or likely to get you killed."

He was betting on the last element being the hardest.

"You can either spend today as a discussion session, or leave with your partner to go work on whatever you're teaching each other. Next week, we'll review what we learned."

And with that, he took out the sheet and began to read.

Jace had been in class long enough to know that he was getting paired up with the girl who had a wolf or a big dog or whatever Blind Seer was. He didn't mind much, so long as the dog wasn't actually a werewolf or something.

"Had" was... not really the term that applied, though Firekeeper would forgive that assumption, since it was one most people made. He wasn't a werewolf, though, so there was that?

"We know much about hunting," Firekeeper said to begin the conversation. "That is a thing we could teach, if you wish to learn."

Blind Seer oblingingly bared his teeth, and held up a paw so Jace could see the large claws there.

"He, with fang and claw. I have none such, so I make do with a bow... and my Fang," Firekeeper touched one hand to the dagger she kept strapped by her side. "If you wish to learn hunting, with a bow is probably best," she added. She hadn't met very few humans who could come within a dagger's striking range of their prey without being detected.

Warren took a minute to pick over the faces of the people in the room before he found the one girl he didn't really know, and then figured that it was a safe bet that she was probably Darcy.

He smiled faintly as he took a seat nearby.

"Darcy, right? I'm Warren."

How to dance, maybe? She didn't know that much about him, just tidbits picked up from the radio.

If it resulted in no one else in the dorms getting food poisoning? Sure.

"Um, hi," Petra said, a little awkwardly because what was with the kiss kiss thing, anyway? "That definitely sounds like a good plan." She turned to a fresh page in her notebook, preparing to make a list, and said, "Okay, what are you good at?"
