Basic Strategy, Monday, Period 4

"Hello again," Tyrion said easily. "If you were a woman this weekend, and you normally aren't, I hope you found something to enjoy about the experience. If you're always a woman, I hope you didn't hurt yourselves too badly laughing at those of us with new centers of gravity. And with that, I'm moving into an easy assignment -- for me, not for you."

"I just have to read the names on this piece of paper, then you're to take care of the rest of it. I drew names at random to pair you up. Each pair is to spend some time together over the course of the week discussing something each of you might teach the other, and perhaps beginning some instruction in it. I don't especially care what the skill is, but please, nothing illegal, particularly immoral, or likely to get you killed."

He was betting on the last element being the hardest.

"You can either spend today as a discussion session, or leave with your partner to go work on whatever you're teaching each other. Next week, we'll review what we learned."

And with that, he took out the sheet and began to read.

If it resulted in no one else in the dorms getting food poisoning? Sure.

"Um, hi," Petra said, a little awkwardly because what was with the kiss kiss thing, anyway? "That definitely sounds like a good plan." She turned to a fresh page in her notebook, preparing to make a list, and said, "Okay, what are you good at?"

Karla smiled a little at that. "A lot of things," she said. "I'm a Healer, both magically and normally. I'm a mind-Healer. I can make teas, tisanes, potions, unguents, poisons, and perfumes. I can make tangled webs to weave illusions, see the future, and...other stuff like that."

Black Widows could be complicated.

"I'm also a Queen, so I can talk to the land and Heal it, too. Plus everything with basic Craft. I can also, umm, sing and dance and play the piano and..." Karla shrugged. "I have a lot of skills. You?"

Petra paused in scribbling in her notebook to say, "Okay, I don't know what like half of that means, and queens where I'm from definitely can't...talk to land. And are you like half spider or are we talking metaphorical webs?" You had to check around here, she figured.
