"Hello again," Tyrion said easily. "If you were a woman this weekend, and you normally aren't, I hope you found something to enjoy about the experience. If you're always a woman, I hope you didn't hurt yourselves too badly laughing at those of us with new centers of gravity. And with that, I'm moving into an easy assignment -- for me, not for you."

"I just have to read the names on this piece of paper, then you're to take care of the rest of it. I drew names at random to pair you up. Each pair is to spend some time together over the course of the week discussing something each of you might teach the other, and perhaps beginning some instruction in it. I don't especially care what the skill is, but please, nothing illegal, particularly immoral, or likely to get you killed."

He was betting on the last element being the hardest.

"You can either spend today as a discussion session, or leave with your partner to go work on whatever you're teaching each other. Next week, we'll review what we learned."

And with that, he took out the sheet and began to read.

Darcy wasn't sure who her partner was or what she would be teaching him, but she her coffee so all was well.

Warren took a minute to pick over the faces of the people in the room before he found the one girl he didn't really know, and then figured that it was a safe bet that she was probably Darcy.

He smiled faintly as he took a seat nearby.

"Darcy, right? I'm Warren."

Darcy nodded. "Yeah, that's me. Any ideas for lessons and stuff?"

"Well, I'm not sure if you already know any of this, but I can teach first-aid. Balancing budgets. Some self-defense, if you're interested in learning how to swing a stick around without hurting yourself," Warren offered. "Uh... some of those are a little more exciting than others, sorry."

Darcy blinked. "I did a first aide/CPR course, actually. So uh, that knocks it out for both of us I guess, unless we want to compare knowledge. I'm good with a taser? Can I teach you how to use a taser in exchange for learning how to budget?" ~~The mun is laughing hysterically for reasons unknown.~~

"How to use a taser, huh?" Warren... couldn't actually see a downside to that one. Considering all the crap he tended to get into on a regular basis, a non-lethal weapon like that would be pretty useful, really. "That sounds like a deal to me."

~~As is this mun. I'M AN ARTIST. YOU NEED MONEY TO BE ABLE TO BUDGET. Save me!~~

"Awesome!" Darcy perked up. "Mine is more of outside the class thing. When are you free?" Belatedly, Darcy realized she should have asked to be taught physics. ~~And this mun is the one who works on budgets for a living.~~

"Really, I'm free pretty much any evening this week," Warren replied, smiling and shrugging. "I have a fraternity meeting after classes are out today, but that's about it."

It wasn't like he had to work or anything to be filthy rich, after all.

"Thursday?" Darcy suggested, running through her week in her head. "Maybe not in the dorms?" She had some self preservation.

~~My type of smartness can't even draw a stick figure.~~

"Thursday should be good. And there's the shooting range," Warren suggested. "I mean, more for the taser than for the accounting stuff, obviously. But there are targets in there, and there's not really any danger of someone wandering in the way and getting themselves zapped by accident, if we head in there?"

~~Stick figures are overrated anyhow!~~

"There's a shooting range? My old school just had a pool, and sometimes it even had water." Darcy said, her voice a bit wistful. "If someone gets in the way, it's their own fault for walking next to a tater." This is totally what happened to Thor, really.

~~I couldn't even draw a diagram of the budget! It was epic fail time!~~
