The Library is Open (02/02)

Rory went to the library after ACJ to see it unopened, and raised a brow before hurriedly opening up and taking her place behind the desk.

Rory blinked innocently. "Was I supposed to get you more glitter?

She pulled the bag of phones off the floor and held it in her lap as she tilted her head thoughtfully.

"Yup," Anakin said, nodding. He leaned his arms against the desk. "You didn't get pink, did you?"

"Would you have preferred a pretty lavender?" Rory asked, the corners of her mouth twitching.

"It might bring out the blue in my eyes," Anakin said, choking back a laugh. "But I suppose I'll have to hide my diappointment and just have several shades of very manly pink glitter to play with."

"I'll make sure to get you some lavender glitter, then," Rory said, breaking into a grin. "Until then, think you can entertain yourself with these?" She held up the bag in her lap.

Anakin's eyes were serious but he kept his tone light. "I suppose I could," he said. "Party favors for Logan's thing tomorrow, yes?"

"Yes," Rory nodded. "You know what to do with them. I think we have enough to cover all the party guests."

"Good," Anakin said. "I hate for someone to be left out." He looked down at his chrono. "If I hurry, I can take that back to my room before Jung starts."

He reached out for the bag. "See you there?"

Rory lightly let her fingers brush Anakin's when she handed over the bag, and smiled. "See you in Jung, definitely."

Anakin gave her a smile that was probably a little more than just strictly friendly and left the library.
