Rory went to the library after ACJ to see it unopened, and raised a brow before hurriedly opening up and taking her place behind the desk.

"I didn't know where else to turn them in," Sam said, still scanning the library. "I'll be around if you want to drop them off later. Probably in my room. You know, to make sure all the study software is functional."

Rory nodded. "We'll probably all get them back tomorrow, right around Logan's party. Your...um, is she your aunt? Or some other relative? Dr. Carter, I mean. She's the one who's helping us out."

Sam paled, but she couldn't say anything about why that was a bad idea without explaining how she knew. "Um...interesting choice. And she's a very, very, very distant relation. Really." She resisted the urge to grab her cell phone back and cradle it against her protectively.

"Anakin said she might even give the kids in her class extra credit. You know, for studying like this," Rory said obliviously. "And that she'll be discreet." She tilted her head. "You look just like her, so that's weird."

"Well, that's very strange and off-putting nice of her," Sam said, shifting her weight on her crutches. "Um, yeah, it's some weird kind of genetic thing, I think. Ja...someone else could probably explain it better than I could."

"Ah," Rory nodded. "Well, Anakin said she can hack them like, super-fast, and that's what we need. And yeah, weird genetics. I mean, you look more like her than I look like my mom."

"Oh, she's got a real affinity for technology," Sam agreed. "And I guess it's some freak accident. Someone in the universe has a strange sense of humor."
