The Library is Open (02/02)

Rory went to the library after ACJ to see it unopened, and raised a brow before hurriedly opening up and taking her place behind the desk.

Lee's mouth gapes open a bit stupidly in his sleep.

Why not? Peter ripped took a sheet of paper, balled it up, and tossed it at Lee, aiming for his mouth.

He then started studying very, very hard in case Lee looked up.

Being smacked in the mouth by a ball of paper isn't the best way to wake up but there are worse alternatives. However, Lee had no idea what it was that hit him, despite looking wildly around for it. Finding neither the object or the assailant, Lee falls back asleep.

That was amusing. So amusing, in fact, that Peter thought he'd try it again.

He tore off another piece of paper, balled it up, and tossed it at Lee's forehead before giving all indications that the Preamble was the most interesting thing ever written.

"Frak!" Peter has impeccable aim and Lee has no danger sense. He supposes this might be a Fandom library thing that if one is asleep, they are slightly stung by unknown objects. Regardless. He's sleepy. He easily goes back to napping.

It was all Peter could do not to burst out laughing. He very quietly collected his stuff and left, pausing at the desk to tell the aides, "Looks like there's a looseleaf bandit running around now. You should probably watch out for more attacks. Specifically attacks on Lee."

"I'll be shocked and horrified that such a thing could happen here," Peter said woefully. "What is this world coming to?"

Standing at the center desk, Isabel watched and snickered.

Peter waved and held a finger to his lips to indicate "Shh!" before throwing another ball (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/595608.html?thread=28375192#t28375192).

Isabel averted her eyes and looked around innocently. The occasional snicker might cause people to wonder though.

Peter grinned widely as he walked toward the desk. "He should really focus more on his studies. The books don't like people who snore in their presence."

Isabel grinned back. "Sure... Blame the poor, innocent books. He should focus the way you were focusing?"

"I was studying so hard that I didn't see anything until he yelled," Peter said. "I found it very distracting."

"It was just terrible. He disrupted the library while serious students like yourself were trying so hard to study. He deserves whatever happens to him." Isabel studied Lee, "But given what I've heard about the librarian aides, I'm sure they'll show him the error of his ways."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-02 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter glanced over at the aides. "I haven't heard any stories, but I still fear them. One of them carries around a mallet. You don't mess with a girl with a mallet."

He considered launching one more ball of paper at Lee from here, but thought better of it.

"No, it's generally considered safer if you do avoid pissing off the people with anything that might be considered a weapon."

She leaned back against the desk and considered Lee for another moment. She might have considered how he would look in pink but since there was no way to pull that trick off discreetly in such a public place she turned her attention back to Peter. "So what have you been up to?"

Re: Fifth Period

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter had no clue why Isabel was looking at Lee like that, but he could have bet that it would have been funny.

"Not a whole lot. Class, homework, and I had another session with Dr Pevensie the other night. I'm apparently not crazy, but I am keeping a dream journal for this week."

[OOC: Going AFK for about an hour. Can we pick this back up when I get home?]

Re: Fifth Period

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Not crazy is good. I guess she's helping? And feel free to tell me to butt out if it's too personal." The thought of a dream journal made her shiver. Mostly because she'd seen some of his dreams and they definitely weren't pleasant.

"I've been doing a lot of studying myself. Although I'm looking forward to the party on the second floor tomorrow. That should be a good break after the week."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, she seems to think that I don't really need help." Peter smirked. "I guess we'll see if she still thinks that when I give her my dream journal."

"There's a party tomorrow?" he asked.

"They did seem pretty scary," she frowned. But then made an effort to smile. "There's a party. Logan is celebrating moving into the dorms. It's supposed to be pretty big."

Re: Fifth Period

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Logan?" Peter was sure that if the only Logan he knew was here, he would have heard about it by now. A cranky guy with big claws and bad hair doesn't stay quiet for this long.

"I don't think I've met him. But, hey, could be fun, I guess. As long as nobody blows stuff up," he said, thinking about the last big party he went to.

Re: Fifth Period

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Logan Echolls, his house was destroyed by the snow monsters so he had to move into the dorms." Mind reading is not one of Isabel's particular skills, but if it was, she'd point out there was plenty of things that made up for the the bad hair.

"It's Fandom, while I don't think there are any plans to blow the common room up, you never know what might happen We're really only looking to hurt vampires."

Re: Fifth Period

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, the common room was blown up a couple weeks ago. This could have been an encore," Peter suggested.

"I hope not, I prefer to be out of range of anything involving explosives. Too much damage to your clothes." She didn't add that she would have enough chaos to worry about trying to keep the various cover stories straight.
