The Library is Open (02/02)

Rory went to the library after ACJ to see it unopened, and raised a brow before hurriedly opening up and taking her place behind the desk.

Rory certainly didn't think about how heavy a sleeper Lee might be, and if they could transport him while he was out.

If Angela knew what Rory was thinking, she would remark that she could think of a few interesting places to pose Lee. Like the girl's locker room.

She might also point out that she has a leopard-print bra somewhere, and it could probably be stretched over Lee's manly chest for a photograph or three.

Lee starts to snore.

Angela creeps over to Lee stealthily, like a ninja and, ever-so-lightly, touches him on the arm.

Just to see if he'll wake up. No big deal.

He doesn't flinch, dreaming of snow zombies and Kara rescuing him.

Angela pulls her hand back and tiptoes over to Rory and Janet.

"He's really asleep. Should we, like, do something to him, or just watch to see if he drools?," she hisses.

Rory grinned.

"I have a tiara and a pink feather boa I can go get," she noted innocently.

Janet grins mischievously at Angela. "Oh, I think we should have fun."

Angela does not bounce at these ideas. Really.

"I have some glittery nail polish in my bag," she says. "Think we could paint his nails without him waking up?"

"Definitely," Rory smiled. She reached into her own bag, and pulled out some very classy red lipstick.

"Thoughts?"

"You're brilliant?" asked Janet. She started rummaging in her backpack and came up with a small makeup bag. "Eyeshadow's too chancy on waking him up, but I have blush in here."

Angela grins. "We probably couldn't actually undress him, but we could probably fold back the sleeves of his shirt. SHow off those ARMS, you know?"

Lee mumbles something incoherent about cylons or that blonde woman in town.

Angela shoots a glance at the other library aides at Lee's muttering. "Let's try," she whispers to Rory and Janet, then tiptoes over to Lee.

Carefully, she takes his right hand in her own and applies a few broad swipes of red glitter nail polish to the thumbnail.

Janet bites her lip so she doesn't laugh and pulls her blush out of her makeup bag. Which, thankfully, doesn't make much sound. She opens it up, dusts her brush with bright pink powder, and tries to lightly swipe the brush against his cheekbones.

Rory popped the lid on her lipstick and made a sad face as she realized she was out.

She carefully, gently began to roll up Lee's sleeves instead.

Janet stopped applying blush to Lee's face for a minute to admire his arms. Then she glanced at her makeup bag, and over at Rory. "I might have some," she whispered.

Angela is continuing to paint Lee's nails, working on the hand opposite the sleeve Rory is rolling.

It's a sloppy job, but still very glittery. She pauses to admire her work.

"Go get it," she whispers to Janet.

Rory shook her head. "It's overkill, I think," she whispered. Also, Liz just asked me to not do lipstick. :)

Angela tilts her head to one side, considering their handiwork. "You might be right," she admits. "Plus, it'd be too easy to wake him up."

She lets go of Lee's hand. "Think we're done, or do you want to go get the tiara?"

Rory grinned. "Be right back.

She was gone.

A few minutes later, she returned with a pink feather boa, a multicolored golf hat and a very ornate tiara.

"I don't know if we can make the tiara stick in his hair, which is why I brought the hat."

Janet nodded. "I think we need the tiara," she said. "Oh, shoot. If we can't blame this on gremlins, what can we blame it on? Library poltergeists that totally don't exist?"

Janet couldn't help carry Lee, but she could certainly act as lookout. And she had a brand-new conveniently suspiciously appearing package of multicolor Sharpies in her backpack.
