Library is Open, Wednesday 2/1

Zero opens the Library and heads back into the stacks, returning a few minutes later with that which she sought: The Amethyst Flower, the sequel to The Jade Flower. Today, there will be silly romance novels, and it will be good.

Parker repeated those phrases, stumbling over 'see you later', and then grumbling. "Damnit. Okay,Смвас более поздно. Got it. I think. Where did you learn Russian, by the way?"

Parker's face sobered a bit, and then she offered, a little awkwardly, "Mine died when I was ten. She was a ballerina, before she got married." She shook her head. "Okay, so, Здравствулте, kак вы?" She let out a breath. "Swear I'm going to sprain my tongue."

"Отлично." Parker paused, then grinned and added, "работает для меня. Correct?"

Parker smiled back. "Japanese, Italian, and German. And fairly decent Spanish and French, although I really need to visit Spain to get a feel for the latter. My father's in international finance; I'm planning on doing the same thing. So I need it to get ahead of the competition." She cocked her head, then said in Japanese, //"Do you speak any Japanese, Sydney?//

Parker shrugged at Sydney's question. "He's on the Board of Directors of the Centre Corporation. He expects me to take his place when he retires. They do bioresearch, new technologies. Lots of international negotiation. Also, it's fun." She grinned. "But you knew that. Arabic?"
