Library is Open, Wednesday 2/1

Zero opens the Library and heads back into the stacks, returning a few minutes later with that which she sought: The Amethyst Flower, the sequel to The Jade Flower. Today, there will be silly romance novels, and it will be good.

Chapter 25. Running Wolf MacGregor's deep secret is revealed. He's a werewolf. Amethyst Flower, being half-ninja and all, has known since chapter five. Zero still says that sword wound should've been fatal. They have more flowery sex--ewww, he's still bloody!--and get around to actually rescuing her parents.

"So, looks like you buzzed through that. Did they ever explain why Ammy wasn't even worried about him getting stabbed?" Parker's bored, and considering going to the gym next period, since she doesn't have a class. Or maybe the firing range.

"He's a werewolf. She figured it out back in chapter five. This is the first mention of lycanthropy in the book. I'm more convinced than ever it's a send-up."

Parker snickered. "Is there another sequel, so we can be sure? Not that we'd read it. We have better things to read. Probably."

"Oh, of course we wouldn't. We're much too mature and refined for that." Zero waits a beat before confessing, "The library doesn't have it, so I ordered it off Amazon."

"Yes!" Parker chortled. "What's the title of the next opus?"

"They're moving away from flowers. It's The Pearl Blade. I have so many issues with that title, I can't even tell you. It should be great."
