Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

Almost quick enough.

A snowball hit him in the left shoulder and he grunted with pain.

He spun, taking off three heads. The monsters kept coming.

He took a few steps back, dodging a flurry of snowballs.

The lightsaber lashed out, taking a few more snow heads with it.

And a couple of arms, just because.

Anakin took another step back, breathing heavily.

"Hey!" Sakura called, once she was fairly sure her swarm of tiny snow aliens was out of commisson -- at least for the moment. "Are you all right?" She didn't know Anakin by name, but that didn't make a difference. A soldier in battle was a soldier in battle, and if they lost one they were that much farther from getting rid of these frigid beasts.

The two remaining monsters leaped at him.

One aimed for his ankles.

The other aimed for his head.

Now what are you going to do?

Anakin dodged between them, lightsaber slashing the one on the right in two.

He took another step backwards, panting.

"Have anything that'll make them melt?" he called.

Sakura nodded, making her way to Anakin. As she did so, she called out Firey again -- she was glad that the cards didn't have a certain number of times they could be called out before they would quit -- and commanded the card to once again get rid of as many of the snow creatures as it could.

The creatures collapsed in a puff of snow.

Could be the card.

Could be the grand finale.

It's hard to tell with some drama-queeny snow monsters.

Anakin bent over, breathing heavily.

"Okay," he said. "That was a little strange."

Sakura stares for a few minutes, then calls back Firey. "...you can say that again," She says. She glances around and notices the lack of activity. "...do you think they're gone?"

Anakin wiped sweat from his brow. "Looks like it," he said, standing up and wincing.

He rolled his shoulder out. "That's gonna leave a bruise," he muttered. "I hate snow."

Still somewhat apprehensive, Sakura leaves her staff out, but tucks her cards back in her bag. She looked at Anakin and made a face. "That looks like it smarts," She says through somewhat gritted teeth. She found it somewhat unusual that she'd escaped injury. "I'm Sakura, by the way," she adds with a smile.

He shrugged, then winced a little. "Yeah, it'll be ugly tomorrow. But it's not dislocated, so I'll survive." He smiled. "Anakin Skywalker. It's nice to meet you."
