Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

"Sakura!" Susan appears beside her, mouth set in a tight line. "Can you believe this?"

Sakura turns to Susan. "Susan! Hey!" She laughs softly. "At least it's not zombies this time, but wow. There's so many of them!"

"Anything's better than zombies, right?" She brandishes her sword and gives a tight little smile. "But we were out here last night, playing in the snow. We could have been killed."

Sakura laughs shortly. "Yeah," she says, grimly. "Well, now we know it was demon zombie snowmen we should have been looking out for, not evil ducks..."

"Ha," said Susan. "No, these snow monsters are a plan of the evil ducks, to throw us off-course. It's a diversion." She grins, and as a shark-fin gets too close, stabs it with her sword.

Ow.

The shark doesn't like being stabbed. If he were alive, he'd be...not so much anymore.

But he's just animated snow. So he's just really cranky now.

His head comes up. Neh neh, neh neh...

Got anything to melt him with?

Susan blinks at the snow-shark. "Animated snow," she says. "Why is this town so weird?"
She's got nothing to melt it with, but what she does have is the sword of DEATH. It can cut a soul from its body. Maybe it can do some damage to this thing.
She steps in front of Sakura, shielding the other girl, holding the sword like she knows how to use it.

Sakura blinks at Susan, eyeing the snow-shark oddly. "That," she says, almost grinning. "Is the silliest thing I've ever seen. It's a shark, made of snow." Somehow, she is quite amused by this.

Susan turns her head to speak to Sakura, but keeps her eyes on the snow-shark. "It's like something out of a kid's book, isn't it?" She waves the tip of the sword back and forth in front of the shark. "And can you hear that music?"

Sakura nodded, and sifted through her cards, flicking her eyes to the snow-shark every so often. Other than Firey, she wondered if any of the other cards would aid in the battle. She paused, and looked to Susan. "...music?" She held a hand to her ear, somewhat confused.

"Mm. Music. Neh-neh, neh-neh." Susan can't say anything more, because at that moment, the snow-shark charges.

Sakura blinks a moment. That was music? Clearly, they were fighting with some tone-deaf snow-sharks.

When the shark charged, Sakura rolled her eyes at it. She'd had enough of this snarky little bastard. She called out Firey again, and the elfen spirit spat intricate flames at the shark. Sakura flattened her eyes at it. "Eat that, you snarky sonuva..." She rolled her eyes, then turned to grin at Susan.

Susan jumped aside as Sakura did her thing. She laughed with delight as she realised what had happened. "That was incredible!"

Sakura looked over at her and blinked. "Ehh, not really..." She scratched the back of her neck sheepishly. "Besides, I was getting sick of that little sucker."

"Oh, god, tell me about it. I mean, snow monsters? Lame." She squints around. "Look, I'd better get off. These things are everywhere." She grins. "And you can onviously take care of yourself."

Sakura smiles. "All right," She waves. "Take care!" She quickly goes back to getting rid of the remaining snow-sharks.

The shark backed up.

It didn't like the look of that sword.

It charged anyway because that's what snow sharks do.

Susan swings the sword wildly, catching the shark right in the head.
