Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

Four new snow...things come out of the trees. They are white, they are icy...

They are armed.

Out of their ~~adorable~~icy ray guns, then shoot a powerful stream of ice and snow.

Better move fast.

Buffy ducks and runs in low, lighting another flare and throwing it into a snowthing.

The first alien ducked but his friend in the back isn't so agile.

*poof*

One down, three to go.

And those three are looking pretty cranky. And heading straight for you.

"Damn it," Buffy muttered as she moved to the side, and ended up being hit by one of their guns.

Artie got caught in one of the streams of ice mid-bounce, and froze in a dramatic pose.

"Mmmrph!" he mmmrphed. "Mrmrphphmrr!"

Sakura frowns for a moment before calling on Firey, and the strangely elfen card spirit swirled itself around the dramaticly frozen Artie. Firey then curls away from Artie as the ice melts to a point that if it stayed any longer it risked burning him. Sakura called it back, but held the card itself out still, in case it were still necessary.

Bel spun out of the way of the ice and snow. A shard of ice pierced his left arm, not far from the still-healing bullet wound Logan had given him. He snarled in pain and annoyance and hurled fireballs at the newcomers.

Anakin's lightsaber was a blur as he tried to deflect the ice and snow.

"I'm fully sick of this," he muttered, reaching out into the Force and yanking two of the snow creatures into the line of Bel and Logan's fire.

One of the creatures was suddenly flying towards Logan. He thrust the blowtorch in front of him and melted the thing's head.

The headless alien kept coming, firing wildly and hitting its snowy companion with a icy stream from his weapon.

They both disappeared into a puddle from Bel's fireballs.

Bel unleashed his fireballs on the incoming ice creatures, ducking out of the way of their icy blasts.

You and Logan's teamwork=melty snow aliens.

Nice work.

Sam ducked out of the way of the ice, and tried to run for cover. She aimed the zat and fired back three times.

Shep covered Sam as she ran, firing when she did. That sucker would be roasted. Six zat blasts. Well, five... his first was a little wide. But yeah, it was fried. "Nice aim," he called over to Sam.

"Thanks! Pretty good yourself." And then it kept coming. "Oh, this is bad. Very, very bad."

The lead snow alien looked down as he was shot three times.

And kept coming.

Who knew little coal smiles could be so menacing?

Throwing caution to the wind, but tucking his zat in his jacket, Shep rushes the Alien-that-wouldn't-die and tackles it around it's puffy white waist.

"Oh, crap," Sam said, looking around for someone with fire as the snow alien advanced towards her. "Can I get a little help here?"

She started to run, looking for anything she could use as a weapon, then remembering the grenade in her pocket. She pulled it out, yanked the pin, and lobbed it towards the alien. "INCOMING!!!!!!"

The snow alien tossed Shep aside with very little effort.

Then blew up.

Because grenades+snow alien=badness for the snow alien.

Shep hit the snow flat out, making a big Shep-shaped dent in the snow. He was about eight inches deep at his highest point. "Oh... damn good thing we had a blizzard yesterday... or that could have hurt." He sat up carefully and looked around, noticing the big old snow crater left by the grenade. This had potential.

"Hey Carter... good work! You made a foxhole!" He scrambles up and into the three foot ditch.

Rory, who was on the roof, aimed a coffee mug at a snowman.

She unfortunately hit Sam in the back of the head with it.

A coffee cup falling from the roof? Sam could have told anyone exactly how long it took to hit the ground from that height, and what kind of force it would have when it hit.

However, when it hit her head and back? Pain.

"Augh!" She went down to her knees.

Rory peered over the edge, trying to calculate the path her mug had taken while rubbing her bruised shoulder.

"Sam?" she yelled. That's who it looked like, anyway.

Then again, another snowman went down near her. Hard to tell from the roof what had caused Sam to go down. Or if that even was Sam.
