Gym, afternoon

The reports coming in from her clone troopers were worrying to say the least. Tex scanned around the gym seeing no one in charge and cursed. Who the hell was in charge at this school? Even Church was better at organising things. Changing the channel to communication systems, she finally found the right wavelength and the P.A. crackled to life.

"... stupid useless... Alright, that's better. Okay, listen up you anklebiters. Town's under attack by some sort of... I can't believe I'm fucking saying this... snow monsters. They got tentacles and you can shoot them but they'll kinda just reform a while later. Yeah, this should be fun. I suggest you all get some weapons and defend yourself. And if I see anyone of you adolescent fucktards heading into town to get in my troopers way I'll rip out your skull."

She turned off the communications and looked around her.

"Right, now what kind of firepower do you guys have here? You better not all be like that Canadian dictionary loving pacifist."

Aeryn's got some stuff on her, but as she knows she's going to be needing to share, there's a couple pulse pistols and quite a few knives (thanks Callisto) up for use.

"Ok, seeing how you and the other gun girl are the only ones around here with some brains. Think you can keep an eye on the door?" Tex asked Aeryn while lugging another locker around.

"On it," Aeryn tells her, already checking the charge on her pulse rifle.

Ivanova nodded at her. "Want some back up?"

"Wouldn't turn it down," Aeryn tells her. "What've you got on you?"

"Just this," she says, displaying the PPG. "And don't laugh. It's only little because it doesn't bother with bullets. It goes right to the pain-causing." She patted her pocket. "I have enough energy packs to last me a few days at least."

"Good," Aeryn says, and checks pulse pistol number two (aka Juanita) to make sure it's ready. "Got any diagrams for this?"

"I'll draw one up as soon as my robot minions of doom show up," she replied. "Have we seen any movement yet, or is it just reports?"

"We have prep time," she says. "Nothing's happened yet."

"That's a relief," she murmured. "I wonder if Dr. Carter will give us extra credit for this?" She grinned as she checked the PPG over.

"I may have to suggest writing up a report and presenting it," she nods.

"It may be a fair bit more interesting than the average 'what I did this weekend' assignment," Ivanova replied, looking around and noting who had guns and who didn't. "Just a question - do none of the guys at this school know how to use a gun?"

"I know for a fact some of them do, I just don't know where they are," Aeryn says. "Though I might have to bring this up as an example if the subject of gender comes up again in Sociology of Violence."

Ivanova snickered. "Hey, this might end up getting a lot of extra credit in a few places. She took stock again as people and weapons kept pouring in. "Looking around here, I know exactly who I'd want to be barricaded in a gym facing the unknown with." She paused, deadpan. "Oh. Wait. Already there."

"People here can take care of themselves. Though I'm not seeing a lot of them yet," Aeryn says. And she decides if a certain group of people gets themselves injured, she may have to hit them.

Ivanova nodded, thinking of a certain pink-haired witch. "They're probably under cover and doing the smart thing - barricading and arming. At least we can hope."

"And if they're not," Aeryn says, still watching the door, "I'm not against killing them afterwards."

Ivanova heard Tex's announcement (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/572373.html?thread=27173845#t27173845). "Looks like people are starting to move out. Stay here and hold the gym or head out with them?"

"I'm already watching the door, might as well stick to the area just outside," she says, looking as people start grouping up.

Hearing an announcement, Aeryn says, "This is it."

Ivanova nodded firmly and grabbed a few plasma grenades from the pile. Because everyone always needs grenades.
