Gym, afternoon

The reports coming in from her clone troopers were worrying to say the least. Tex scanned around the gym seeing no one in charge and cursed. Who the hell was in charge at this school? Even Church was better at organising things. Changing the channel to communication systems, she finally found the right wavelength and the P.A. crackled to life.

"... stupid useless... Alright, that's better. Okay, listen up you anklebiters. Town's under attack by some sort of... I can't believe I'm fucking saying this... snow monsters. They got tentacles and you can shoot them but they'll kinda just reform a while later. Yeah, this should be fun. I suggest you all get some weapons and defend yourself. And if I see anyone of you adolescent fucktards heading into town to get in my troopers way I'll rip out your skull."

She turned off the communications and looked around her.

"Right, now what kind of firepower do you guys have here? You better not all be like that Canadian dictionary loving pacifist."

Barricade the windows, start peace talks, burn stuff

Tex moved into the locker room and eyed them for a moment. They were big enough, she decided and slun her assault rifle over her shoulder. Picking up one of the lockers effortlessly, she moved it in front of one of the windows.

Blair dragged empty boxes, tables, and containers over to the windows. He figured he could start barricading the windows first and what was left over could be burnt if they needed to start a fire. Looking over at Tex moving the locker he shrugged. "Good job, man."

He was keeping an eye on the outside, just in case it looked like a snow monster wanted to talk about demands or peace.

"Yeah, I'm a chick." Tex grumbled and slammed some a tread mill against the locker.

"I hear that, man." Blair tilted his head. "Nice to meet you, I'm Blair."

Seeing as Mac is very much a pacifist, sticking to the barricade seems the best option. She looks panicked, but hell, this is better than hiding right?

"Hey, you need any help over here?"

Blair looked up and waved. "Yeah, Tex is handling all the lockers right now. And as manly as I want to appear, I can't really lift that. But we need to barricade the other windows with this stuff." He pointed to the pile of supplies/tables/boxes. "Keep out the stuff that will burn though, in case we need to make a fire later"

"Right," her eyes followed his finger to the pile of junk, "between the two of us we should be able to handle this lot, and hopefully we'll get a few more people soon enough. I'm Mac."

"Good to meet you, Mac. I'm Blair. I think if we tilt these tables against the windows it'll block them pretty well and the two of us can handle that."

"Blair, I will remember that." She moved to grab the end of the most accessable table from the pile. "Have you seen what it is we're defending this place from yet?"

"Not yet. All I know is that it's a snow monster. Do you think that means Yeti or big snowman or something else?"

"I have visions of white puffy ball-men in my head. It's just not pretty. Having not seen I yetis, I can't really pass judgement on that one."

"Tex," she said and went to get another locker.

Blair bounced happily and went back to work. "Thanks, Tex!"

Lucas was pretty good at chasing down shoplifters. Fighting? Not so much. He quickly joined in with the others putting up barricades and just generally tried to be in the position to help out.

"Damn the snowman," he muttered, "save the high school."

"That's what I've been saying all week! Well, not exactly like that." She smiles at the new boy and starts to help with barricading. If the snomen are anything like the zombies, they might get in. She has guns,but fighting's not her thing...

"I'm CJ. Care if I help you?"

Lucas nodded at CJ. "Lucas. I moved in yesterday. Barricade away."

"You moved in yesterday? This is a nice 'welcome to town' then, isn't it? Where'd you come from?" Smiling as she chats and barricades the windows and such, she seems like this kind of thing is routine.

"Jersey." Lucas says this as though it means he's used to strange things, like snow man attacks. He's not, but he's good at faking it.

After all her chit chat, his one word answer gives her pause. Her eyebrows rise and she gives him a half smile, "Laconic? Or scared?"

Lucas seems to think about this for a second. "Laconic, mostly."

"See, I don't seem to have that problem."

"Well, I'll forgive you anyway." Lucas offered her a small smile.

She smiles brighter, and waits for him to help her carry a table. "That's big of you. Thanks. So what brings you here of all places from Jersey?"

"Cheap real estate, lack of competition, and a local boarding school as a market." He grabbed one end of the table. "I'm opening a record store."
