Sociology of Violence
Grissom is rather abrupt, and launches into a lecture defining hate crime before the students can even sign in.
He then passes out a handout entitled The seven-stage hate model: the psychopathology of hate groups from The FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin.
"As you can see, the model is as follows..."
Stage 1: The Haters Gather
Stage 2: The Hate Group Defines Itself
Stage 3: The Hate Group Disparages the Target
Stage 4: The Hate Group Taunts the Target
Stage 5: The Hate Group Attacks the Target Without Weapons
Stage 6: The Hate Group Attacks the Target with Weapons
Stage 7: The Hate Group Destroys the Target
"I'd like you to name one group in which you've seen this behavior, at least through Stage Four, and describe how they fit the model in an essay before you go.
You will be graded."
Grissom then points to a stack of large books on a table by the door. "Crimes of Hate : Selected Readings, for your homework. Select to do all the readings. It's only 408 pages."
Sociology of the Paranormal
Grissom wheels in a TV unit, and addresses the class.
"While you are watching the film, I want you to think about why people perpetuate hoaxes. By the end of class, I want a proposal from each of you on my desk for a hoax of your own design. You'll receive extra credit if your proposal involves the paranormal, although that's not required at this time.
Also, those of you that have elected to finally pass in your last homework assignment would be advised to leave it on my desk as well."
He then screens most of the NOVA special The Boldest Hoax.
"Before you go, take this vocabulary sheet. Have all the terms, A-Z, memorized by Monday. You can go."

He's convinced it will work.
He is, however, not convinced that he'll be able to memorize all that vocabulary.

Re: Paranormal: 1/25
It's not even a stretch for this place, right?

"I can provide samples of how love is the biggest hoax anyone can pull on someone," Phoebe whispered.

"I'm sorry. Did you dump him over the body switch thing he pulled, or..." her voice trails off, not sure she likes the other possibilities.

which she will have to detail at a later date, as the mun is drawing a complete blank at the momentand eyes the vocabulary sheet warily.Re: Paranormal: 1/25
She then notices that Phoebe is upset and is suddenly very concerned.
Re: Paranormal: 1/25
Why didn't you tell me about you and Cole?!
Re: Paranormal: 1/25
How do you know about that?
Re: Paranormal: 1/25
Logan told me during third period in the assistant's lounge. How could you keep something like that from me, Piper? How could you not tell me you loved him...that you slept with him?
Re: Paranormal: 1/25
I didn't really love him. I thought I did. It didn't mean anything. And how did Logan find out?

Re: Paranormal: 1/25
Dr. Grissom, would you mind if I got you my proposal before class on Monday? Right now the number of odd things I'm asked to believe before breakfast is crowding my brain. I'm gonna need a little time to make something up
because anything that can happen here, already has, I'm fairly sure.J. Sheppard

and glares at his mun for never hitting "post" for this comment, which she just discovered as she flipped through her tabs.
