"Not yet. But when he does come by, I need to ambush him too." Parker scowled. "His crazy ex-girlfriends threatened Jarod, and actually hurt Janet and Vala. I don't think Janet will be in today."
Angela stops breathing again from shock. When she can start again: "You don't joke about things like this. I know you. Crap."
"And girlfriends? Squid lady and the blonde who isn't Buffy Summers, right? Squid lady was hassling Marty on Monday, too." She rubs her forehead with one hand.
"I hate vampires. And, um, will Janet and Vala be okay?"
"No, I don't joke about stuff like this. Janet's almost fine, she got busted ribs and some scratches, but she kept Darla from hurting Vala any worse. Vala got a knife wound, saving Izzie, from what Isabel said. I got there late to the party and dragged everyone off in the rickshaw."
Parker sighed, looking more worried than angry now. "And Jarod got heinously, unbelievably lucky, because Crazy Squid Lady just felt like creeping him out, she didn't do anything else. She was messing with Marty? God. I hate that bitch." She made a face. "Angel's connected to both of them, and I'm going to light a fire under his inflammable ass. He can handle them, we can't, damnit."
"Janet's brave. Crazy, but brave," Angela says. "I don't know if I could do that."
"And yeah, Angel's about the only person who can do anything right now. Unfortunately. I can't believe she decided to play with Jarod's head, too. Why couldn't she leave town with her boyfriend?"
Parker brightened. "Hey. I promised her boyfriend we wouldn't kill her. But if he's not here, all bets are off. Maybe a trap, or a lure--" She grimaced. "Unfortunately, she'd probably have a Psychic Friends Network moment and see us coming."
Shaking her head, Parker said, "I have had it with her. We're almost safe, here on campus, since I think the place is warded-- and we have various crazy and scary administrators on our side. But anyone in town is just lunch food! Damnit, this is how things were in October! And I don't want to have someone do that stupid spell again, I just want these skanks dead."
"When they die, there shoudl be a parade. I hope Angel ties them up outside and just waits for the sun to risen. Then we could have a picnic and watch their flesh burn off. Maybe give them some holy water to drink while they wait. "
She blinks. "I hate knowing that I can even think of stuff like that."
Parker's used to it, by this point, but she understands Angela's point of view. "I know it weirds you out, but that really sounds like a good plan to me. God." She sighed, and cocked an eyebrow at Angela. "I'm going to go into Special Collections, and check on soul stuff for Angel. You good here?"
"Pretty sure. I still have the pass from Professor Tick, and it's been bizarrely quiet lately. I'll take my phone though, in case I need help." Parker fished out her cell, grabbed a set of dragonhide gloves, and saluted Angela. "I'll send a telegram if I end up in Shangri-La."
Parker went back into the stacks a lot more worried than she'd let on. Dru and Darla's little rampage meant that keeping Angel on their side was more important than ever.
Checking her map, she strode off toward the back of the purple section....
And after half an hour, Special Collections finally let her get there. "Grrr."
Taking out two books, she trekked back to the front of the study area.
Soul Removal for the Initiated. And Orthographie du Charme.
"Hanging out. I was too depressed to date for a long time. Plus, there's a shortage of unattached guys." She tilts her head at Parker. "Do you have someone in mind?"
"Yes!" Parker looked offended, then sighed. "It's Broots, okay? Considering I'm about to traumatize him, I was going to offer him dinner or something, but god knows, not with me. You don't have to. I just thought it might be... nice." Parker's experience with nice being limited, she's not sure if she'd on-target or not.
"That's all I'm saying. Thanks, Angela." Parker smiles in relief. "I just couldn't think of anything else. He *has* every microprocessor built, and he doesn't get out much. Who knows, it might fun." Well, not fun for her. But fun for other people. Maybe?
"Yes, Miss Parker's just been telling me about the latest happenings in town," Fraser says, frowning again. "As for the matter of police, I'm sorry to say that I don't know. It would be a good idea though, wouldn't it?"

There. That ought to be a place to start.

"Well, that was utterly depressing." She glared back at Special Collections, and removed her gloves.
"Hey. Are you seeing anyone, now that you and Marty are quits? I mean, do you have someone in mind, or are you just hanging out?"

And she can pump him for information on Parker or Jarod.
"I'm in if he wants to go. One date, okay?"
