Angela is seated behind the collections desk, flipping through a volume of poetry as she nibbles on some trail mix.

She is available for all your library aide needs.

Shep steps up to the counter. He doesn't go into the library very often, but today's a special case.

"Hey there. I'm in Dr. Grissom's sociology of sex cultures class. We're supposed to read up on The Kama Sutra, but my handouts are missing some pages. Do you have a copy I can use so I can get caught up on the work without bothering the prof?"

Angela raises a skeptical eyebrow. "You need the Kama Sutra for claass," she repeats flatly, then goes to check on the computer.

She returns a moment later withan apologetic shrug. "Explicit materials are in special collections. You need a note from Dr. Grissom to get it. We can't have people's parents freaking out over their little baby accessing porn, you know?"

She seems genuinely apologetic as she tells him this.

Shep rolls his eyes and takes out the handout he was given in class. "As you can see, we *were* given copies... mine is missing a section. I just need to read over on that section, you can have the book back on Friday."

He then takes out the ~~OMG made up~~ official computer print out of his schedule and shows her where it says, "Sociology of Sex Cultures, period 6".
"See, I'm really in the class, and we're really supposed to read ~~parts of~~ it."

He gives her his best I'm-for-real look.

Angela rubs her eyes, looking very tired. "Yeah, I'm sure the class and the assignment are for real -- I have Grissom too. But library rules are really strict about Special Collections. The last time I went in without a note, bad things happened. Plus, even if I could give it to you, you'd have to read it here, you aren't allowed to remove it from the library"

"Seriously, just ask Grissom for the note and we can get it for you tomorrow. I really can't do anything for you now."

[OOC: I hate doing this to you, but it's The Rules. Sorry.]

Conceding defeat... for the moment, Shep sighs. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." He leaves mumbling something about the book store in town and wondering if it's worth facing the insanity just to get the damn thing before class on Thursday.

"Have a good day," Angela calls at his back, clearly not actually caring.

[OOC: Heh. And I applaud the attempt.]
