Angela is seated behind the collections desk, flipping through a volume of poetry as she nibbles on some trail mix.

She is available for all your library aide needs.

She has coffee. She might share, if you're nice. Though, really, 8 a.m. is too early to be nice.

Angela is organizing the periodical section.

Angela's in art class. Maybe someone else could help you?

Angela is back. She pulls a volume of ancient art off the shelves and goes to look through it.

Angela is sitting on a stool staring into space.

She's not thinking about boys, exes, or ex-boyfriends. Nope.

Again with the staring into space. And, hey, it's almost time to go home!

Angela is wiping down the counter and organizing any books that came in during the day as she prepares to help close up the library.

"Hey, Angela, your hair's different?" Lee says, master of tact.

Bel walked into the library, not hiding, but not trying to be noticed either, and flipped through books on Japanese weaponry.

"It is! Didn't you notice Sunday?," Angela says, hand flying to her head. "And do you like it? I'm still trying to decide."

"It's..." and he tries to find the right word. "...different!" He looks at it more closely.

And then he adds, "Oh and I like it. Yes."

Angela sighs. "Yeah, that's about the reaction I'm getting. "Different" and not actually terrible. I think it looks a little too ... dyed-dyed. Like, the red looks sort of fake, but not in a bad way. This looks fake in a bad way. But maybe I'm just not used to it."

She lifts a piece of hair and inspects the end of it before flicking it dismissively behind her shoulder. "I'm sure you love hearing girls talk about their hair, right?"

Lee thinks about all the haircare products he uses of a morning. "I do!"

Janet's around to help out while Angela's off in art class.

"Hey, Angela, hi, Lee," says Janet, coming in after ACJ and slinging her backpack behind the Collections Desk. "How's it going this morning?"

"Angela has black hair!" Lee says with a grin.

Janet runs off to History of Western Civ, waving goodbye to Angela and anyone else around.

Janet glanced over at Angela and grins. "It's nice," she says. "I didn't get a chance to say anything yesterday. I was barely around."

"Thanks. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep it or what. The stylist went way darker than I expected."

"So how are things?" Angela gives Janet a sidelong look, remembering that their last conversation had not exactly been cozy. She's hoping they can just let it drop.

"What color were you going for?" asks Janet, studying Angela's hair.

She grins, ignoring their last conversation. She hadn't been in a good mood that day, and she presumed Angela hadn't been either. "Pretty good," she said. "Though I have a heavier courseload this term, so I'm studying more than I used to."

Zero comes in about halfway through second period, still looking half-asleep.

Pip steps in, taking off his cowboy hat and scratching his head. He walks up to the desk. "Where would I find books about vampires and demons? Non-fiction stuff about vampires and demons?"

"Special Collections," said Janet. "Hey, Pip. You'll have to get a note from a teacher to get in."

"Really? Damn. I don't think 'I've started to develop a healthy sense of paranoia about mystical threats' is going to cut it with a teacher. Thanks anyway."

Janet shrugged. You never knew 'til you tried. "No problem. How're your classes going?"
