Angela is behind the collections desk, iPod earphones in her ears, the Smiths playing loudly.

She'd probably hit the pause button if someone came in.

The notice asking Winifred Burkle to come in for a new card is still taped to the door.

Janet grins. Wow, would it be fun if he were. *hints strongly*

"Weirder than usual," said Janet. "Bugs Bunny as an avatar of destiny, or the gods, or Justice, or whatever he's an avatar of is not something I'm equipped to contemplate at eight in the morning."

Angela snorts.

"I can so top that. Zero, want to tell her what we had to contemplate at 8 a.m.?"

Janet raises an eyebrow and looks curious. "Do I want to know?" she asked. "Wait, who am I kidding? Of course I want to know."

Angela points grimly to the books still scattered where they fell in the fairy tale section. "See that? We had a visitor. A blue, ugly, small weird visitor. Who I have a sinking feeling has something to do with my ex." She taps her fingers on the desk. "Has Marty brought home any livestock lately, by chance?"

~~Small, blue, and weird? Gonzo came into the library?~~

"Someone's going to suffer for those books being out of order," said Janet, eyeing and getting a little irritated. "I'm a pretty heavy sleeper ~~when I'm not able to be in game to react~~, but I think I heard growling in the room last night. Maybe he got a dog and didn't think to ask the rest of his roommates?"

She shook her head. "Wait, you and Marty broke up? No one told me."

"I know. I was trying to put them back on the shelves, but whatever the thing was, it's really freaking destructive."

She shakes her head and goes over, reshelving a few more books. "He said somebody gave him the dog -- it didn't sound like he did it on purpose. I mean, he's not a big enough jerk to get a dog without asking yoou guys, sheesh."

"And yes, we broke up. On Sunday." Angela scowls at the books as she says this.

"Apparently so," said Janet. She hoped everything in the dorm room had remained unscathed.

"Well excuse me for asking a reasonable question," said Janet, . "I mean, it's not as if I got warning that he was moving into my dorm room either." She rolled her eyes. "Whoever gives someone a pet without letting them know about it in advance is an ass, pure and simple."

"I'm sorry to hear that," said Janet.

"Don't ask me about the move. I found out Sunday myself. It sounded like he and Jack O'Neill just decided on it and went for it; I have no idea why they didn't tell the rest of you. Not my problem anymore, sorry it's yours. Is he an okay roomie? He doesn't snore that much..."

"We agree on the "whoever did this is an ass" thing, anyhow."

"I wasn't asking you about the move," said Janet. "I was asking you about the dog. Which, might I add, I didn't know anything about, so asking you about the dog was perfectly reasonable. As was presuming he'd gotten a dog on his own. He's fine as a roommate."

"I'm glad we can agree on something," said Janet. Then she changed topics. Quickly. "So, what classes are you taking this semester? I don't think I ever asked."

Angela blinks a few times. "Sorry. The whole Marty thing is still kind of sensitive for me. Didn't mean to jump down your throat."

"And I have music, history of art, U.S. government, sociology of the paranormal and math. What about you?"
