Angela is behind the collections desk, iPod earphones in her ears, the Smiths playing loudly.

She'd probably hit the pause button if someone came in.

The notice asking Winifred Burkle to come in for a new card is still taped to the door.

Angela is poking at the library computer, trying to make sure she understands how the system works.

Parker comes in, looking tired. "God, Thursdays, whose good idea was that?"

Angela shrugs, looking the teensiest bit smug. "Can't help you. I only have one class today."

Parker stuck her tongue out at her. "I had none yesterday, and I only have one tomorrow, but God, Thursdays and Tuesdays make up for it. Especially with StuCo and I-Club on the same day." She let her head thud to surface of the counter.

"I-Club's tonight?" Angela repeats slowly. "Parker? Don't kill me, but I think I'm dropping that. I'm not so much with the detecting, and certain people will be there anyhow and it's still sort of weird with us. Sorry."

She grimaces. "So today? I called his machine? And I automatically started to say I loved him before I hung up. One of those moments where you wish your mouth would just rewind."

Parker shrugged, and waved a hand. "I get it. And while I'm sorry you're dropping it, I know it wasn't really your thing. We should have enough new people to keep it going, so don't feel too bad. We can still count on you for help if we need it thought, right?"

She winced at the mention of Marty and the machine. "Ow. At least when I've broken up with guys, we've mostly ended up in different countries. Or were easy to avoid. This still0being-around has to be hellishly awkward for both of you. Although I think Blank's lost it, he came to StuCo today *just* to be annoying."

"If you need someone to brood about anything that Angel doesn't have covered, call me. In fact, if there's a serious issue? Call me. I can do things other than think obsessively," Angela says, relieved. A pensive look comes across her face as she turns her attention to Marty.

"It's weird. He just keeps looking at me and being all sad and it's like it hurts his mouth when he has to talk to me."

"But I don't think doing something just to be annoying is actually, like, a meaningful sign with him. The weird thing is, it might be a good one, that he's together enough to want to bug you. Did Mr. Lyman kick him out?"

"I'm sorry for both of you on this, but if I said it to him, I get the feeling there would be broken bones by the time we both shut up. So I'm maintaining a politic silence."

"No, Mr. Lyman didn't kick him out, but he did call him 'Clarence' and let Sandburg get PC at him. That seemed to chil him out a bit." She smirked. "If he keeps coming back, I'm going to demand he be put on a committee or booted. Your ex is so weird."

"I did sort of cheat on him. I understand he gets some of the sympathy. And yeah, you two are kind of like Itchy and Scratchy, so probably better you stay quiet around the weirdo."

She barely suppresses a grin at Parker's description of the SC meeting. "If he's gonna show up anyhow, you should put him to work. God knows he needs a place to put his energy. And where the hell does Clarence come from?" Angela rests her forehead on top of the desk for a moment before turning to look at parker again, a horrified expression in her face.

"Have I turned from one of those girls who can only talk about her boyfriend, to one of those girls who can only talk about her ex-boyfriend? Because that's seriously pathetic."

"I managed to bore him to sleep with the Declaration of Independence. He slept through the rest of the meeting." Parker grinned. "I usually kick him awake, but not this time."

"Mr. Lyman called him that, Im not sure why. He's calling Wings and Jake "Donna" all the time too. I like Mr. Lyman." Parker grinned.

"And no, you haven't... uh, yet?" Parker winced. "So. How's Minerva? And, uh, how are your other classes?"

"Lyman is cool. I'm so happy he let me add his class," Angela agrees. "And I'm pretty sure Min would be trying to take over the world if she didn't enjoy napping so much. How's Esme?"

"Hungry and hyper. The one tends to cancel out the other, fortunately. Also, I think she wants a bigger habitat to roam in. I may see about adding a layer to it." Parker grinned. "So what class did you add? Government, or U.S. History?"
