Library, 1/16

[chasingangela]

A subdued and somewhat red-eyed Angela opens the library at the start of second period and props herself behind the collections desk. She casts a glance at the pile of books to be sorted; she'll get to them eventually.

And then she just sits there, staring into space and thinking.

She has her head buried in her hands, but she would be more alert if someone came in. Probably.

Walter wanders in after a successful Izzard-fest prank on Principal Smith and walks up to the desk.

"Excuse me?" he says after waiting for Angela's attention to turn to him. "I need a library card."

at some point in time because the mun is too brain'd from last night to keep track of continuity

Victor wandered into the library, wondering if they carried any comic books at Fandom High. When he saw the familiar suit and tousled hair, he grinned.

"Excuse me," he said, coming up behins Walter and whispering in his ear, "Can you help me find the awesome boyfriend section?"

Walter leaned back against Victor for a moment and grinned. "I think you've found it."

He turned around to lean against the circulation desk and gave Victor a knowing look. "Did you sleep well?"

"We slept last night?" he joked in a low voice. He looked down and grinned, then looked back up at Walter with a tilt of his head. "Thanks for this morning."

"Shouldn't I be thanking you?" He looked around and shook his head at Angela. The girl looked as though she had other things on her mind than the dewey decimal system and library cards, so Walter decided to abandon the quest for a libary card for the day.

"Am I interrupting an important quest for knowledge?" he asked Victor, since he didn't know why his boyfriend was there. Not that he was complaining.

Victor blushed. "Nah, I was just wandering around until 4th Period. I figured I'd stop by here and see if they carried any comics...but I think I just found something better.

So, when are you and Pip gonna do that thing you were talkinmg about?"

"We already did it!" Walter's eyes lit up and he plucked at Victor's sleeve to draw him away from the desk to an empty table. "It went perfectly! When we left Smith's office, there was a golf cart on the ceiling and his desk was covered in pies."

He looked slightly troubled. "But Smith hasn't said anything about it yet."

"Aw, I missed it?" he whined softly. "Okay, next time you're dragging me out of bed."

Noting Walter's worry, he added, "Maybe he's too busy eating pie to be mad?" he offered.

"Alright. Next prank, you're in. Besides, if you get detention, we'll have each other for company on Saturdays." As much as he liked Pip and Pippi, their company ranked somewhat lower than Victor's on the desirability scale.

"Maybe Smith burst something filling his face with pie and we'll have to settle for Zordon for a while. He should be easier to get around since that tube of his doesn't move at all."

"I think we're the only couple here planning a date for detention," he observed with a smirk. "Speaking of which, I believe there was a promise of some sort of event involving you, me, and food of some sort."

Finally being distracted for her boyfriend woe as her player gets back to the computer, Angela notices Walter and Victor have taken a seat and calls out to the freshmen.

"Sorry. Did you guys want help?"

"I came to get a library card, but I can come back if you're busy."

"And I was just browsing," Victor added.

"Not at all," Angela says, slipping a form across the desk. "Fill this out, use blue or black ink, and you aren't a chosen one, are you? Evn if you are, don't write it. Apparently it makes bad things happen."

Walter fills out the form and passes them back to Angela. "No, not a chosen one."

"Good to know," Angela says amiably. She pubches a few keys on the computer and waits for a card to spit out.

"Here you go. You can take out as many books as you want and keep them for three weeks. The whole library is open, except Special Collections. You need a teacher's note for that."

"Hungry? We could go down to the diner where we had pizza the other night. After class?"

It's a date. he wanted to say, but the librarian was now paying attention to them, and Victor wanted to give Walter the space he needed. So, instead he smiled and added, "And maybe we could try to not suck at bowling, either."

"To suck or not to suck, that is the question. Whether tis nobler to suffer the pins and balls of outrageous fortune..." Walter's face broke in a broad grin.

"Yes, after class, let's do that."

[ooc: We can wander off to dinner if you want. I haven't signed in to my classes yet, so I'll be multitasking.]
