Library, 1/16

A subdued and somewhat red-eyed Angela opens the library at the start of second period and props herself behind the collections desk. She casts a glance at the pile of books to be sorted; she'll get to them eventually.

And then she just sits there, staring into space and thinking.

She has her head buried in her hands, but she would be more alert if someone came in. Probably.

"Who did you get?" Parker perched her chin on her hand, and studied the boring occupants of the library. "The last time I saw mine, I was introducing him to Twinkies and M&M's. I think he's going to send some dentist's kids to college by the time he's adjusted."

Angela giggles a little at this. "Lyta Alexander. She's a freshman, red hair, wears gloves ... seems really together, actually. SO it might be that she just doesn't need me much."

"That's good, then. I think I've met maybe half of them now. Pippi Longstocking's odd-- I still wonder about that horse-- but no odder than DEATH, and he's been here a semester already. Pip Bernadette proved to have remarkable self-preservation in not taunting me about being Carol Brady. So I think there's hope for them yet." She grinned. "And I really like Nadia Santos. We had fun in New York this weekend."

"Nadia is awesome," Angela agrees. "She and Marty seem to have hit it off so I got to hang out with her a little. And she tried to wreck our date -- phone thing, don't ask -- but was really cool and funny about the whole thing. Her friend Sydney Bristow is cool, too, which is weird because my roommate Sydney just seemed really sad all the time."

"Further proof, I guess, that the dimensional thing means anything can happen, and the same name isn't the same as the same DNA, or personality, or anything." Parker frowned. "And that reminds me, I need to give Sydney a call-- I'm supposed to be studying Russian with her, since she's Professor Dream's TA, and we haven't mapped out a study plan yet."
