Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Not missing a beat, and without turning around, Shep answers, "If he's not careful, Pip and that new administrator Pierce."

Lana smiles at Pip. "Hey, I met you your first day. I'm Lana."

She leans in and kisses Shep lightly. "So, what kind of trouble are you two getting yourselves into?"

Shep has to put his eyes back in his head when he sees Lana's dress. After kissing her back he stammers, "N-nice dress." He clears his throat. "We've actually been very good tonight. Seeing as we'll be seeing each other in detention tomorrow, it's better not to push it, you know." He grabs another cup of lemonaide for himself and holds one out to Lana. "Drink?"

Lana takes the cup and has a nice long drink. "Thanks." She smiles at him, enjoying his reaction to her dress

Pip waves to Lana. "Hiya, I remember you." He takes a drink of spiked punch.

"Well, currently? None. But we're hoping to get ourselves into some good trouble once we've had more to drink."

Lana smiles at him. "So, how many detentions are we trying for the first week of classes? I understand you're joining us tomorrow."

"The record, hopefully," Pip responds. "Yep, I'll be there with you. Rebuilt a golf cart on the principal's desk."

Lana pursed her lips. "Golf cart on the principal's desk. Now that's something I can honestly say I never would have thought of."

Lana giggles. She's not sure quite why this strikes her as being so funny, but it does. And she's still thirsty for some reason, so she has another glass of the slightly odd tasting lemonade.

Pip shrugs. "There are worse fates. I could be making out with Smith. Or Zordon, for that matter."

Feeling just a tad giddy, Shep snorted at the idea of Pip making out with the glass tube. "I dare you go in during office hours next week and ask Zordon for a kiss."

Pip smirks. "I'm afraid I'm not nearly drunk enough to do that. Yet. Who knows, though. He might actually be a good kisser."

"Yeah, but let's think about the logistics here." It's a testament to the fact that Shep has had several glasses of spiked lemonaide that he really wants to do that. "Would you have to get in the tube? Can the giant head come out? Otherwise it would be like trying to kiss someone through a car window. And how much fun can that be?"

Pip has an amazing tolerance, but he's definitely feeling the influence. "Well, I dunno. If he has special, like, kiss sensors and electrical kiss... things. It might actually be really fun."

"Well, you go find out and get back to me." Shep is not giggling like a girl starting to feel a little loopy.

"Mmm, who would you rather kiss?" Pip asks, a little slurred. "Dean Zordon, Dean Washburne, Vice-Principal Pierce, or Pincipal Smith?"

"Oh no, this is turning into a game of truth or dare." Shep isn't sure if that's a good thing or a disaster in the making.

Lana can't keep herself from giggling at the images this provokes. "Now that's something I want to see!" She drinks some more of the odd tasting lemonade, but she just seems to keep getting more thirsty.

"There we havit," Shep's speech is starting to slur a little. "Two four... no not four... two for and one against. You should go kiss the giant head in a tube."

Lana looks confused. "I don't want to kiss the head in a tube. I'd much rather kiss you, Shep."

She glances over at Pip and looks mildly embarrassed, "Oops, sorry, Pip, that just sort of slipped out somehow."

"Good to know," Shep says and leans down to kiss Lana. Only his aim is shot and he gets a mouthful of her earring.

Lana giggles again and shifts so that their mouths are actually touching and kisses him back, wrapping herself around him a little more than she'd normally do in a very public place.

Pip laughs. "That's alright. I'd rather kiss Shep then the giant head in the tube. Though I'd rather kiss you more than Shep. Actually, of the three, you're the only one I'd actively want to kiss. But since you two are taken and Zordon is a head in a big glass tube, I'll have to keep looking for people."
