Welcome Dance - the Gym

The streamers and banners are up. So are a zillion multi-colored helium balloons.

The floor is cleared, and the bandstand is up at the north side of the room, ready for Dusted Bunnies to take their places.

The refreshment table, with the (as yet) unspiked punch is in place. There are chips and stuff as well, Chex mix, a few nachos and some guacamole.

Party on, dudes! And welcome to Fandom High.

Pip walks into the gym. And he, as mentioned before, looks snazzy. He takes a cup of punch and looks for people to mingle and dance with. And he had a special eye out for Maia. He had promised her a dance and all.

"Yo Pip!" Shep hollers as he sees his fellow music enthusiast head for the punch bowl.

"Shep!" Pip shouts. He grabs his cup of punch and walks over. "So, having fun yet? Do we know anything about this band?" he says as he takes a sip from his cup. "Are they... good? Do they pass the Pip and Shep test?"

"Haven't a clue... though I heard a bit of their sound check in the hall. The lyrics scare me a little." Shep thinks it's really funny that there's now a Pip and Shep test... even if he's reasonably sure he won't be able to say it three times fast... or even once if any ends up spiking the punch.

And secretly, he's kind of hoping someone would. This party needed living up. But he already had one detention coming, so he'd have to leave that up to someone else.

That reminded him...

"By the way, I hear I'll be seeing you tomorrow."

Pip grins. And agrees about the spiked punch. He hopes that someone who hasn't gotten in trouble this week will do it. "So you heard about that, did you? Maia was telling me that you guys are in it for extreme skinny dipping. I just rebuilt a golf cart."

"I wouldn't call it 'extreme'. Actually, I'm not sure what extreme skinny dipping would be. 'Cause, come on, you're either naked or not. But yeah, we were... you should have been there," he adds with a raised eyebrow.

Pip laughs. "Yeah, it's a damn shame I wasn't." He elbows John in the ribs. "Why didn't you invite me? You know I would appreciate it."

"Next time we get stupid, I'll be sure to let you know. It was kind of a spontanious thing - we had just decided to go swimming. Then I get there and Maia's naked and Sawyer's stripping down. I wasn't letting them call me a coward so... Unfortunately things got called to a raging halt before they could get really interesting."

Shep smiles as he thinks about the golf cart. "By the way man, you have got to have one serious set of balls... a golf cart on the principal's desk. Man, that takes guts. You need to invite me on your next prank. That was awesome."

"You be sure to do that. I highly suspect that beneath that nervously cute exterior, Maia is extremely hot." He sips at his punch and ponders light up a cigarette.

Pip grins. "Oh, I can't take total credit. Walter helped. And a secret someone came up with the idea. I can't reveal who it was, though. Prankster's confidentiality and all. But I promise I'll let you in on the next one. You have to do the same, though." He looks thoughtful for a moment. "What floor do you live on?" he asks.

"Well uh... yeah." Shep doesn't bring up his literal first-hand knowledge of how nicely built she is. "She's also dating Chiana... so... good luck with that."

"Deal. I'm in 402. Aren't you on 5?"

Pip nods. "So I'll have to try extra hard if I wish to accomplish this goal. If I'm feeling really energetic, I might go for finding out both." He sipped at his punch. "That or have my roommate hack into the survelilence system in their room while they're engaging in "lab" activies."

He nods. "Yeah. Room 505. I was just checking to see if I should warn any of my second floor friends of advance prankery."

"With those two... anything's possible. Maia likes me. Not likes me, likes me... I don't think... anyway, if I get a chance I'll put in a good word for you."

"Nice to know I'd be on the advanced warning list... what are you planning to do to the second floor? And how can I help?"

Why thank you," Pip says. "I'll be sure to do you a nice favor in return. Possibly involving pornography. Or, failing that, crepes."

"Weeeell, we're dropping a massive mess of bouncy balls down the stairs into the second floor. It's not my idea, I'm just helping. If you have any bouncy balls or would like to contribute to the "Buy the fifth floor a mess of bouncy balls fund", it'd be a big help." He take a drag on his cigarette. "Oh, and don't tell anyone on the second floor, of course."

"You know you've been eating in the cafeteria too often, when I'm not sure which offer I'm more inclined to take you up on."

"Hm... bouncy balls... I don't have any - they aren't safe for the ferrets - but I can probably help procure a few dozen. We need to do the thing with the shaving cream and envelopes to someone. Or fill someone's entire room with inflated condoms."

"The thing that scares me the most about the Cafeteria food? Is that I have absolutely no idea what it is. Sort of. I mean, "french frees"?"

He nods. "We could use them. And yes, we do need to fill someone's room with inflated condoms. As you hopefully know, part of the trick of pranking is the selection of victim." He takes a drag on his cigarette. "Shaving cream and envelopes, eh? That a favorite of yours?"

Pippi waves to her namesake and running partner.

Pip waves to Pippi. "Hiya Me-pi," he says. "Nice outfit. You look like a true blood pirate there." He grins. "I especially like the coat."

"Hiya yerself Mmmm." she responds, "Thanks. My Papa ~~killed some pirate for it and~~ gave it to me. Said it would give me something to grow into. I guess I did."

"And so you did. You like quite nice in it. Very blue. As opposed to me. Being very orange." He sipped his cup.

"I happen to enjoy that color combination very much." she responded with a smile.

Pip smiles back. "As do I," he says. He points to his blue tie. "Orange and blue go with anything. Though blue and red apparently work quite well for you as well."

"What's not to love about red and blue... and orange?"

Pip grins. "I agree. In fact, I'd like to see how it looks on the dance floor. Would you care to join me?"

Pippi grins,

"Lead the way. I feel very prepared. Walter taught me the Jitter-Bug and the waltz."
