Intro:

For this class, I will need you to write me an essay on the difference between ethnocentrism and cultural relativism. It will be due before next class (Wednesday). Either e-mail it to me or place it in my box.

Linguistics:

This is our second class. Since the Greek alphabet is something not everyone is familiar on, I'll need you to study it. You'll be quizzed on it next class. Greek symbols will come up time and again, so it is important you know which is which.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth

*DEATH walks in, exactly on time, and takes a seat in the center of t classroom, removes a small kitten from his robe and strokes it while listening to lecture. He appears to have a peice of parchment that is writing his notes for him.

For those that cannot see magical/paranormal things, there is an empty desk with a small kitten on it. While it appears empty, any who approach it get the distinct feeling that it is TAKEN and feel the urge to sit somewhere else. Even those nearby feel like it might be a good idea to move away a tad*

DEATH rasises his hand, unsure whether the teacher can see him*

*Daniel, though he could not see DEATH, could ceratinly hear him, and squints through his glases*

Um..yes? *He looks visually confused.*

This is a brief overview of only Earth-related cultures.

Though, now that you mention it, a class covering other worlds and realities would be interesting. I shall have to think about that for next semester.

We will most definitely cover the nature of death, as well.

*pulls up a chair and sits down with parchment and quill*

Actually, there will be a chance. Over winter break, I will be hosting a field trip and we will be able to visit a site.

Unfortunately, unless I can get permission, we probably won't be able to do much digging, but I'll see what I can do.
