The Library - Jan. 11th

Climbing down from his hammock early this morning, the Librarian opens the library for the morning and sits as best he can on a chair behind the circulation desk. He peeling a banana carefully with his feet while keeping a close, supicious eye on the library and, particularly, the books.

"Sure. If it doesn't, you've got my cell number. Maybe something about how you had to stay and help a friend? Subtract a month or so, and it wouldn't even be a lie." Parker shuddered at the mention of gremlins. "God, don't go there. *Please*. I am so going to Marty's meeting tonight. I had no idea how nasty those things were until I got bitten."

"True," Angela says slowly. "God, I can't believe Angel's only been here a month and a half. Angelus is starting to feel like this really strange, really ugly dream."

"Marty was telling me about that meeting. I'm actually happy I'm not in the -- wait, when did you get bitten? Was that what was going on during Homecoming?"

"I know. Except for the parts that stand out like technicolor sense-surround hell." Parker sighed. "All things considered? I'd have to say that worked out... okay."

"Sunday night. Only Krycek, Bridge Carson, and Broots's new roomie were around." Parker grimaced. "And Broots. We ended up thinking we were each other. Watching Broots snap his fingers at people is not something I'm going to forget soon. Or how I was petting his computer. Gahhh."

Angela blinks, then attempts to stifle a giggle.

She is not especially successful.

"teehee. heh. heh. heh. heeee."

Then, recovering. "I'm sorry, Parker. I just got this mental imazge of you petting a computer, and Broots ordering people around and ...hee. hee. ... it's not actually funny, is it?"

Parker pouted. "It's *not*. Really!" Her lips twitched. "Not even the part where I broke his roomie's brain by insisting I stay the night in his room."

And that is entirely too much for Angela as she doubles over into choked giggles.

"Who's the roomie?" she manages, when she comes up for air. "I mean, poor Parker. Poor Broots. But-" she shakes her head, attempting to fight off anoother bout of giggles. "Sorry!"

Parker rolled her eyes, and gave in to the impulse to smirk. "Laugh it up. I'm just glad the audience was limited. And I owe Krycek for not letting us wander off in our demented states." She nodded over to where Blair was talking to Ms. Sidle. "That's him. Blair Sandburg. And the scary thing? He's bouncing like that *without* caffiene."

"I met Blair over the weekend. He's a total sweetheart." Angela glances at him. "A little weird, yeah, but sweet."

"He offered to hug me," Parker said with distaste. "But he was actually pretty decent the following morning. Didn't make any of the obvious teenage male jokes. Thank god. Broots would've hated it if I'd killed his roommate his first day here."
