[OOC: It's good to be back! Now using limited OCD threads! Class Info Post.]

The Tick is standing at a podium in the front of the room. Lockheed is back on top of a specific bookcase in the room. Furthermore, there is a squid in a bowl on Tick's desk. On the bowl is a note reading "LOST SQUID." Once all the students have filed in, The Tick hands out the syllabi ~~which are just the C.I.P. linked above but more IC, shh~~ and speaks to the class.

"Hello, students! In case you were unaware, I am Professor Tick and I shall be your guide in this mysterious land that we call Justice! This semester we will be taking on subjects that are... Well, actually, I don't know what they are yet, but they should be keen! "

"A couple orders of business to take care of. First, since this is an advanced class, you'll be expected to do a bit more than you did last semester. Therefore, you have weekly homework now. More on that later. You will also have two quizzes, a paper, a group project, and the Final Exam at the end of the year. I'm confident that you will all survive these trials, though! And there will be weekly extra credit, of course."

"Now let's get to a little discussion! It's light stuff today, class. Stand up, give your name, and tell the class something you've done in the Name of Justice!"

"Every week, you will have a homework assignment. The assignment is called The Weekly Metaphor! Each week I'll give you a prompt and you will have to use your fine metaphor skills to make the prompt relate to Justice in some way. [OOC: See the duck question on last semester's final to see how this works.] This week's prompt is mules."

"And finally, I'm giving you the opportunity to do weekly extra credit. This week's EC Prompt is: come up with a superhero name for yourself."

"Extra Credit and The Weekly Metaphor must be turned in on Thursday [OOC: Or in slowplay terms, by class on the following Tuesday.] Again, I look forward to all of your contributions throughout the next 16 weeks. Go ahead and discuss!"

Janet made a paper name plate with her superhero name--Napoleonic Powermonger.

She also handed in her homework--The strong back of Justice can carry a heavy load.

She's a little out of practice with her metaphors after break.

Sam started snickering when she saw Janet's superhero name.

She was still having troubles thinking of one for herself, though--Colonel and SG-1 were already taken.

Janet rolled her eyes when she heard Sam snickering at her.

She then wrote 'Colonel Supernova' on a piece of paper and slipped it over to Sam.

Sam read the note and stuck her tongue out at Janet. Sure, you blew up one sun, and you never heard the end of it.

She scribbled "Mad Genius" on the paper and slipped it back to Janet.

Janet snickered at Sam, then bit her cheek to stop herself from laughing when she read the paper Sam slipped her.

You can't talk about being a mad genius, and you know it. She slipped the paper back over to Sam.

Sam drew a picture of a huge hypodermic needle and passed it back to Janet.

Janet peered at the paper, trying to figure out what the heck Sam was drawing.

Your artistic skills are still nonexistent.

Sam squinted at the paper. Looked like a perfectly acceptable hypodermic needle to her.

What?

Parker cocks an eyebrow. "Isn't that more of a supervillain name?"

[OOC: I wasn't going to say anything until Tick would have a chance to look at it, but... *nods*]

OOC: Hah! It's canonical! *thbbpt*

[OOC: It's a canonically bad superhero name! Or should we point Archie over here? I'm sure he'd have happy things to say about Napoleon and powermongering. :)]

OOC: What, you expected a good one out of Janet? Janet would be the kind of superhero that everyone else was a little afraid of anyway.

And sure, point Archie over. It'll be fun! :)

[So she's Batman? o.O? Does that mean Danny's Robin?]

Sure, why not? But without the funky tights.

[But Robin I (Dick Grayson) and Robin II (Jason Todd) wore short-shorts, Robin III (Tim Drake) wore tights, RobinIV (Stephanie Brown) wore a skirt, and Robin II (Now known as Red Mask) is back in tights now. So whether or not Danny wears tights depends on which Rpbin he's supposed to be.

"Point." Parker started to grin. "How do you monger power, anyway?"

Janet snickered. "Drag Jack O'Neill to the clinic against his will when he's sick as a dog and ends up staying there for a month."

"Okay, that's definitely heroic. Totally aside from the amusement factor."

"The amusement factor came when you, Sam and I were trying to get the man to take his antibiotics," said Janet. She rolled her eyes. "He's hopeless."

"Am not."

"Are so too."

"Am so not."

"You lie," said Janet.
