Library, 1/09

Angela isn't sure whether she's more frightened by the fact this is her first time opening the library, by the new students, or by the Librarian.

Her stomach is a mass of butterflies as she turns on the lights and takes a place behind the checkout desk, braced for the onslaught.

Peter figured that a library card just might be helpful, so he stopped by after his second period class and grabbed a form.

"Hey, so 327 didn't eat you," Angela greets Peter, glancing over his form before going to type up his card. "Here you go. This lets you check out anything, unless it's in Special Collections. You need a teacher's note for that."

"Hey, Angela," Peter said. "Yeah, I've managed to avoid the dreaded locker of doom so far. Yay me! And since I only have one class today, I've officially survived my first day of school assuming I'm not murdered or something when the class is actually posted, that is."

"Thanks," he said as he took his card.

"I only have one class too," Angela says. "Sociology of the Paranormal. Are you taking that?"

"And no problem."

"No, I'm in Sociology of Violence. Seems like it'll be a pretty interesting class," Peter said. "I thought about taking Paranormal, but I didn't feel like jumping out of a plane for class." He smiled at his terrible pun.
