The P.A. crackles to life, and Zordon's monotonous, booming voice can be heard all across the campus.

"Will all teenagers with attitude please pay attention? Today, we have new students arriving. Room assignment sheets and keys are being distributed currently out of my office the Command Center, as the main office is currently unmanned. As our illustrious principal would say, never hire a man to do a machine's job." There is a short pause. "All incoming students should obtain their assignments and keys as soon as possible. Please note that some current students have changed to on-campus housing, and some of you currently living in the dorms now have new roommates and neighbors. Enjoy."

The P.A. then goes quiet for a brief moment before a burst of static through which clanking and occasional exclamations of "Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi!" may be heard.

Zordon is, of course, stuck in his tube. Alpha 5 sits outside the door to the Command Center, a box of manila envelopes ready to hand out to those students who have already turned in their Resident Life forms.

Any current students who would like to request a change of rooms or need to swap out their keys can also stop by and pick up or drop off their forms.


OOC Note: Am currently at work, and may be a bit slow to respond. After 6PM PST/9PM EST responses will be much quicker. Feel free to roleplay dropping by to get your rooming assignments. (agent_principal will probably be dropping in later as well to man the table.) Until then? Just grab your envelope. Inside are the official room assignment forms (i.e. proof that you belong there) and your room key.

Roommates have been assigned according to what we thought would be fun situations for everyone to roleplay. You are, of course, free to request a room change at a later date, but consider this a fun beginning-of-term bonding exercise. *g*

Blair finally tore himself away from the meet and greet and made his way to the 'command center' to pick up his dorm assignment. He was quiet as he waited, thinking about everything people had told him in the lobby. He was sure they weren't playing a trick on him, but this was, as Naomi said...a lot to process.

"Hi, I'm-" Blair stopped as he looked at the robot sitting at the table. He was going to meditating till the next millenium. "Ahem. I'm Blair Sandburg. I'm a new freshman. I think I'm supposed to see you for my keys?"

Smith pulls an envelope and hands it over. "Miiiiister Sanburg. Welcome to our school."

Blair grins and sticks out his hand in greeting. "Just call me Blair, man. I'm so not into labels! What's your name?"

Smith raises an eyebrow, but then extends his hand as well and shakes Blair's. Pulling his hand back, he carefully wipes it inside his pocket, because EW, Person Cooties.

"Principal Smith will do for a label. Which I am totally," he raises his hands and air-quotes "into."

Blair nodded. "Okay man, I hear that. Everyone has their own issues and cultures, and if I'm going to live in your environment, I should really try to fit into your culture." Blair's hands waved as he talked and he bounced in place slightly.

"One time I stayed with this tribe in Africa that didn't believe in a personal space bubble at all. They always got right into your face to talk to you. Like right in your face!" Blair held up a hand a few inches away from his new principals face.

Smith doesn't even flinch. He does, however, narrow his eyes. "In you face indeed, Mister Sandburg. However, you will find that I myself do have a personal space bubble, and would kindly prefer that you do not invade it again." Smith pops his neck. "Is that all you require at this time?"

Blair withdrew his hand and nodded. "No problem man. I hear that, I wasn't too comfortable with it either."

Blair shrugged his shoulders at the question. "I think I'm good to go. It's been nice to meet you, you're my first principal! I'll be sure to respect your bubble the next time we hang out!"
