Library (12/20/05)
Janet ran towards the library. She'd overslept, and it looked like no one else had gotten it open yet. She flipped on the lights, unloaded the food from last night's shopping trip with Parker, made sure that no one but library staff could get to the food, and sat down to start eating while she finished up her Classics project.

WrenchCarter. Just finished my Spanish final. I am free as a bird!" Parker twirled, then grinned. "How are you this morning? We missed you at the, uh, celebration of end-of-term in my room."no subject
"Yeah, I was sorry not to be there," Sam smiled, "but I had an eight a.m. practical final for Shop that I had to be mostly alert for. Did everyone make it?" She put a slight emphasis on the word, trusting that Parker would catch her meaning.

"The Independent Study's on wormholes. John, Janet and I have been working together on some equations for Professor Eppes, but I'm trying to apply those equations and figure out how to create them for The Doctor."
She wrinkled her nose at the caviar, unsure why anyone would want to eat fish eggs.
"I strapped a frozen turkey to some metal shelves with duct tape to get myself out of a walk-in freezer for shop class, though. Most fun I've ever had doing a final, I think."

Parker grabbed up a shrimp and popped in in her mouth, chewed, then added, "And by the way, you're one of the last couple people I haven't given my presents to yet. Grab me sometime tonight so I can get them to you."

Sam took a deep breath and prepared to expound on the glory that was wormhole physics, then remembered to whom she was speaking. "Yeah, the end result is great."
"I'll have to hook up with you later," Sam said, "since I've still got yours, too. Didn't seem prudent to show up with them yesterday."
She grinned at Parker. It looked like they were going to get away with it, and it had been a lot of fun. Maybe breaking the rules occasionally wasn't so bad.

She leaned forward and lowered her voice, "I don't know what tripped it. I was getting down from reaching up to Callisto, and the next thing I knew, the door slammed shut and the alarm was going off."
no subject
"Hmmm." Parker leaned forward to, motioning with her hands. "So, you were just stepping down, and they went off? Was Callisto leaning so far out there was cleavage, or what?"
