Library (12/14/05)

After Classics--and a quick trip to visit Daniel--Janet opened up the library, dropped her backpack in a corner, and started finding excuses not to work.

"Did I embarass you?" Angel put his arm along the back of Marty's chair. "Aww - I didn't mean to. Not that you don't look cute all flustered."

Marty coughed again to try and cover up his embarassement

"Me? Embarrassed um... maybe ah... yeah."

Marty's cell phone rang. He tried to answer it, but in his nervousness dropped it on the floor.

Marty bent over to pick it up.

"Are you feeling all right today, Angel?"

"Couldn't feel better," Angel replied. He reached out to make a grab for Marty's oh-so-finely-shaped ass.

As Marty reached under the table to get his cell phone he felt Angel's hand carress his ~~oh-so-fine-shaped~~ buttocks.

"HANDS! HANDS!"

he shouted.

Marty straighted up immediately, but forgot that his head was under the table and cracked his skull.

"OW!"

"Oh poor Marty, did I hurt you?" Angel immediately moved to rub Marty's head. ~~The one on his shoulders, people! Get your minds out of the gutter!~~

"Here, let me kiss it better." ~~Which really doesn't help with the double meanings on "head" does it?~~

Marty suddenly found himself seeing double, being cuddled and kissed by a vampire. On the forehead. ~~Dude, you just grabbed my ass. Clarification was probably needed~~

"Hands?" Marty said somewhat disoriented.

"Take it easy," Angel said. He rubbed gentle circles on the spot Marty had banged against the table. "You could have a concussion. Here, let me see - " He turned Marty's head to stare into his eyes. Ostensibly to check for their reactions, but damned if that didn't seem to be an invitation for proper kissing instead.

"Wha?" Marty said still disoriented. He blined a couple of times and Angel's face seem to solidify into one image. The hair was still blurry... no wait that's how his hair normally looks.

Angel cupped Marty's chin in his hand. He closed the distance between them to brush their lips together.

Suddenly Marty was being kissed by a vampire.

On the lips.

Marty flailed and fell to the ground, knocking his head.

"What the hell?! Angel! What are you doing?!"

"Oh, jeez, I'm sorry," Angel moved to help Marty ~~get~~ stand up. "I should've asked or something, I know. You just looked so cute I couldn't help myself."

Parker heard Marty yelling, and raised her head from the computer to see what the problem was.

"Blank, what are you doing on the floor?"

Marty looked up from his positon. "Guh! Uh! Angel! HANDS! Kissing! Floor!

"Marty fell," Angel said, helpfully.

Parker quickly came out from around the counter, shooting Angel a 'you're weird' glance before offering Marty a hand. "Hands? Kissing? The hell? How hard did you hit your head, Blank?"

Marty pointed his finger at Angel "Him! With the grabbing! And the kissing! Wrong! Oh so Wrong! The wrongness of wrong that was ever wronged!"

Angela blinks, rubs her eyes, then wittily blinks some more. "I didn't just see that. I didn't. I seriously, really didn't."

"Is your head okay, anyhow?" she asks Marty, going for the least weird bit of the equastion.

Marty glomps onto Angela. "Make the scary man go away."

'It's okay, baby, it's okay," Angela croons. "Nobody's going to hurt you ~~or grab your ass again, except me.~~"

She glares at Angel over Marty's shoulder. "Whatever this is? it is so not funny."

"Promise? ~~that you'll grab my ass?~~ Marty whimpered.

He then fumbled to a chair looking a little freaked out. He looked at his cell phone which he was holding in his hand in a white knuckle grip. The Voicemail notification was going off. Trying to focus, he checked the number and saw that it was from Piper.

"Huh."

"Huh, what?," Angela asks, glancing back at Angel and Parker.

"I think I startled him," Angel said. He looked over at Angela. A slow smile spread across his lips. "Hey you."

Parker looked from Marty and Angela to Angel, and frowned. "Quit messing with his head, Wings! You're too good at it. Can't you get your jollies tormenting one of your ex-friends, instead of us?"

Angel looked confused. "I - I didn't mean to."

He rubbed his forehead as though he was getting a headache.

"How do you accidentally hit on someone?" Parker made a face. "Never mind, it's you, I'm sure you could find a way."
