Angela raises one eyebrow. "Anakin Skywalker? I think his name was attached the last time I heard about spacewhisky."

Rory nodded, and quickly regretted it, clasping a hand to her head.

"Ow. Yes. Anakin."

"Poor Rorykins," Angela says ~~as her mun realizes that's the PERFECT shipper name for RoryAnakin omg!!!11eleven!~~.

"Um. Do you need aspirin or water or anything, or just ... quiet?"

"I'm fine. What I really need? Is to talk to Logan," Rory said, keeping her eyes shut. "Anything exciting going on in here today, so far?"

~~OMG that occurred to me the other night when Krycek called me that on IM. Baaahhhh. It's such a *cute* name.~~

"Did Veronica call you yet? She called me this morning," Angela says. "I don't know what she thought she, like, had to apologize to me about."

"The only big news is, um, Lee Adama is all happy for some reason, Marty and Cole Turner are continuing their whole glaring thing, and Dr. Pierson is going to be a history teacher so we're getting a new librarian next term."

"No, Veronica didn't call," Rory sighed. "Interesting. I really have no interest in talking to her."

"And Lee's always all...perky, when he's not being incredibly emo. Marty and Phoebe's boyfriend have some kind of glaring contest, and...oh no. That makes me sad. Is Dr. Pierson taking the salamander?"

"I can't believe she'd call me and not you," Angela sighs. "I mean, I don't have an issue with her, assuming it really was a gremlin bite. But I get that it's up to you whether you want to talk to her or not -- if it had been Marty, I'd be ready to stab both of them, so I'm being a total hypocrite."

"And yeah, the usual stuff and then ... Dr. Pierson is going. I'm not sure about Dante."

"Yeah. I should've given Logan the opportunity to explain. But he was being an ass," Rory said bitterly. "We were both mad."

She pouted. "I like Dante. Maybe I'll sign up for one of Dr. Pierson's classes or something."

"I totally can't have a conversation when I'm mad," Angela admits, then flushes, remembering her fight with Rory the month before. "Which you kind of know. And boyfriend-mad is even worse than friend-mad."

"I might take a class with Pierson too. I don't know, there's too much I want to take and I think I only have time for four classes. I was going to keep Journalism, but Lee said we might get some new teacher and .... I dunno. Mr. Jerusalem is insane, but he's familiar insane, y'know? I'm not sure I can deal with new insanity."

Rory smiled wanly. "Yeah, I'm like that. I get all irrational and I talk in circles. Which..." she winced, "yeah, you know. And you know how stubborn Logan is." She lowered her head and rested it on the tabletop.

"New journalism teacher?" Rory asked the floor. "Why is he leaving? And, yeah, familiar insane is good. At least I know what to expect with him."

"Logan got irritated at me once, at Homecoming. He was ... yeah, not fun." She rubs her forehead with both hands. "I hope you two can work it out, anyhow."

"All I know about journalism is what Lee told me -- he overheard something about Jerusalem taking off at the end of term. We didn't have class today, so I can't even ask yet." She chews on a thumbnail. "Not that I'm sure I would if I could. He still kind of scares me."

Rory frowned. "Maybe he's going to be fired. Or maybe he's leaving because of ethical reasons, or something." Her brows shot up. "Maybe it's like, a scandal or something. Maybe he has something to do with that toaster that Bristow confiscated." She grimaced. "Knowing that toaster...maybe it's a 'love that dare not speak its name' kinda thing?"

[ooc: So, since it's not IC knowledge that Spider's leaving, we're supposed to run with this and make it as outlandish as possible. Cheers.]

Angela twirls a piece of hair around one finger. "Wasn't he, like, on parole or something? Maybe he's going back to jail. Maybe it's something with that cat -- he might be doing mad scientist stuff in his apartment. With the toaster."

[OOC: Wait, did Lee have permission to start the rumor? I'm all confused. I wouldn't have repeated it if I didn't think it was good for play.]

"Oh dear God, that poor toaster," Rory murmured in horror. "We should try to rescue it. Aren't you engaged to it?"

[ooc: Apparently not? Squish and Monster just told me that. Don't worry about it - this is funny, anyway.]

"I am!," Angela says in mock-horror. "My poor neglected fiance."

Her eyes glimmer with amusement. "We should stage a raid on Bristow's office to get it, if it's still in there."

[OOC: Crap. It is funny, but I know IC/OOC knowledge is an issue and I'm really trying to be good about that. Ah well, I should've asked Lee.]

"We should. And maybe picket or something," Rory smiled. "Though Bristow probably wouldn't appreciate it. Or would he be amused?"

[ooc: Meh, don't worry about it. The admins think it's funny, I think.]

"He has never struck me as having a sense of humor," Angela says. "Unless the gremlin spit thing was supposed to be funny."

"On the other hand ... he wrote the pageant, right? Did he ever, like, smile at rehearsals?"

"Ummmm no. He seemed pretty amused by the idea of forcing me to shimmy and sing, though," Rory said, making a face.

"As a Christmas tree," Angela supplies, snickering. "How are your bruises, by the way? And, um, I didn't get to say this, but ... you guys were awesome. Really."

"Thanks," Rory snorted. "Bruising is okay. And...the whole thing was funny. Even Angel falling on me." She giggled.

"Angel falling was just the perfect capper. And Bristow Claus," Angela says. "All in all? Definitely the Best Christmas Pageant ever."
