The Library (12/06/05)

Janet unlocks the library, flips on the lights, and goes behind the Collections Desk. She checks in Methos' office to see if his delivery from yesteray has been opened yet. Or if it's still there. Then she starts looking up useful books for her Indo-European and Classics presentation and working on her independent study in math.

Parker shrugged. "You couldn't know. I don't talk about him, so. Not deliberate." She looked up. "He just pushes my buttons, and this is humiliating already."

I don' see why it's humiliatin'. You didn' know he was a freak. So what? Neither did anyone else.

"I *should* have known." Parker held herself tighter, and said, "I should have guessed, I should have paid attention, I'm the one he kissed, I'm the one he screwed, I'm supposed to be smart, and I should've seen it."

She pulled her knees up and rested her chin on them.

You had no reason to guess. S'far as I know, he's been actin' perfectly normal. Aside from the whole 'psycho buggin' his girlfriend' thing.
