The Library Is Open (12/05/05)

Janet unlocks the library and flips on the lights.

Sitting on the Collections Desk is a package addressed to "Adam Pierson." The envelope is embossed with an unusual symbol, the meaning of which Janet didn't know. Except she did, because she steamed open the last envelope that came with that symbol on it. But she couldn't do that to this package without getting caught. And that was really starting to bug her.

She moved the package behind the Collections Desk and glared at it until the first library patron showed up.

Waving, Elizabeth made her way towards the collection desk. "You're not going to close the library as soon as I come in again, are you?" she asks, grinning.

"Not this time," said Janet. "Sorry about that. It was--bad, on Friday."

Elizabeth shrugged. "No problem. Did you get it all sorted?"

"Not me," said Janet. "I wasn't dealing with it, thank God."

"That's good," Elizabeth nodded, then grinned evilly. "So. Someone didn't make it back to the room last night..."

"I stayed over at Daniel's place," said Janet, grinning. "Please, you room with your boyfriend, so don't even start making fun of me."

"Who said anything about making fun of you?" Elizabeth asked innocently.

"I know you, hon," said Janet.

Elizabeth smiled sweetly, and giggled. "That is true. Sometimes I'm nice."
